Hugh Jackman reunites with Deadpool during surprise Disneyland Paris encounter

PARIS, FRANCE: Hugh Jackman brought a dose of superhero nostalgia to Disneyland Paris when he reunited with Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool during a fun-filled visit to the theme park. 

The actor, best known for playing Wolverine in the Marvel franchise, shared glimpses of his memorable day with fans on social media. Jackman enjoyed seeing some of Disney’s most iconic characters before an unexpected encounter with Deadpool.

During his visit to Disneyland Paris, the actor shared two pictures from his fun-filled day and couldn’t resist joking about his surprise reunion with Deadpool. Jackman, wearing a grey shirt, was seen standing beside a Deadpool cosplayer dressed in the character’s iconic red suit. 

“Spent a sensational day at @DisneylandParis. Saw many of the great Disney duos.. Mickey and Minnie, Lilo and Stitch, Deadpool and his spandex?!? Anyway, it was great time. A humongous thank you to everyone who made this day absolutely flawless. You are all second to none,” Jackman wrote.

The Wolverine, aka Jackman, had the reunion with Deadpool through a cosplay moment, but it is important to note that it was not Reynolds inside the suit. The sight of Wolverine and Deadpool together was enough to send Marvel fans into a frenzy..

While Wolverine and Deadpool may have a chaotic, love-hate relationship on screen, with their fair share of fights and sarcastic battles, Jackman and Reynolds are much more like best buddies behind the scenes. 

The two stars have shared a close friendship for decades, often teasing each other while also showing genuine support. Their hilarious bond has become just as entertaining for fans as their superhero rivalry. 

The pair finally brought their iconic Marvel characters together in the 2024 film 'Deadpool & Wolverine', where Jackman returned as Wolverine alongside Reynolds’ Deadpool.  Away from the screen, their playful friendship continues to win fans over, proving that the best duos are sometimes not enemies but simply friends who love to joke around with each other.

Meanwhile, the real Reynolds was at Marvel’s Comic Con event in San Diego, where he brought his signature Deadpool humor to the stage. While appearing in character as a playful cosplayer, Reynolds joked about being a “huge fan” while interacting with the cast.

“Huge fan, look at that cast,” he said. “I’m not wearing the Doom mask over this mask because I didn’t want to ruin the likes of my Canadian tuxedo. My name is Ricky, that’s a mononym, like Cher or Madonna, and I’m just cosplaying hard.”

When asked if he had a question, Reynolds responded, “I do have a question, actually. Two questions. First question is for Paul Rudd. Where’s Thor and why was he crying?” “Where is Thor? And why is Thor crying? Uh, he’s a Wrexham fan,” Paul replied, taking a playful dig at Reynolds’ soccer team, Wrexham AFC.

Reynolds then continued with another question, joking, “Second question. Moving on. This seems like an awfully expensive way to announce the film. Uh, when do you start filming?”

Robert Downey Jr responded, “It’s in the can bro; look around you. Did you bump your head?” Keeping the joke going, Reynolds asked, “I see. So, there’s no additional photography? No overages, high costs, maybe last-minute additions?”

After getting his answer, Reynolds ended the exchange with a simple, “No further questions.”
