WASHINGTON, DC: Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee Mike Turner pressed the White House to clarify if Hunter Biden is aware of classified briefings. This comes after the first son made a surprise appearance at the Executive Mansion this week in an attempt to bolster his father's flagging reelection campaign, according to the New York Post.

Turner wrote to White House chief of staff Jeff Zients, "White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre has confirmed that Hunter Biden is attending official White House meetings involving the President and his staff."

He added, "An immediate response is requested, please notify the Committee of the official meetings Hunter Biden is participating in, and if classified information is being disclosed." Hunter has been attending White House meetings since his father returned from a first family retreat at Camp David. However, a source said that the first son is suspicious of West Wing aides.

First family members accused former White House Chief of Staff Ron Klain, senior advisor Anita Dunn, and private attorney Bob Bauer of wearing out President Biden, during the week-long debate preparations at his rural home.

Despite a poor debate performance against former President Donald Trump, Hunter thinks his father is still "scrappy and in command of the facts," the New York Times reported.

Notably, security officers have been concerned for years about the first son's presence in the West Wing. When agents learned that Hunter was on his way to the extremely sensitive Situation Room during Biden's first year in office, they were taken aback. The Secret Service shares information on protectee movements internally.

Although Hunter has remained till Wednesday, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre explained that his presence was a prelude to the president's Monday night statement about the Supreme Court's immunity verdict.

Moreover, just a few hours after cocaine was discovered in a holding space outside the Situation Room, in July 2023, he returned to the White House after another visit to Camp David for Independence Day celebrations.

Several internet users slammed Hunter Biden as Mike Turner pressed the White House to clarify if Hunter Biden is aware of classified briefings.

A user wrote on X, "I would say yes, and selling it to the highest bidder" while one added, "He was forced out of the Navy for being a drug addict. This guy is dangerous."

A person also stated, "how else do you expect him to have something to sell to support his habit?" whereas one mentioned, "Hunter only reads the classified documents that are delivered to his dad's garage."

A user also commented, "Why bother? It’s not like you get any truth out of this clown show!" while one added, "Absolutely! If so, how did a crack addict get security clearance— also, did he register under FARA?"
