Recently, Sharon Osbourne - CBB contestant and reality TV judge - claimed that she once lost a judging opportunity at ‘The Masked Singer US’ because of Simon Cowell.

During the show, Osbourne and fellow ‘X Factor’ panelist Louis Walsh ranted against the reality show boss for his seeming inconsideration of the judges, per The Sun.

Sharon Osbourne blamed Simon Cowell for losing a job at ‘The Masked Singer’

The 71-year-old television personality, who recently sparked concerns after losing much weight due to Ozempic, shared that she turned down a job at ‘The Masked Singer’ after thinking she was going to reprise her role on the ‘X Factor’.

However, she lamented that she was dumped from her regular show at the last moment, leading her to miss the opportunity at ‘The Masked Singer’.

Osbourne further claimed that both she and Walsh were let go of their judging duties because of ageism. She graced the ‘X Factor’ for several seasons until she was not called back in 2018.

Talking to Walsh in her bedroom, Osbourne fumed, “That's Simon, he cuts you off, cuts you off, cuts you off. He doesn't know how to keep friends.”

She continued, “Why do you think I am so f****g mad with Simon because remember that year you and I were contracted to do 'X Factor' and it was the first year of 'The Masked Singer' in America and they asked me to do it and I said I can’t because of 'X Factor' with Simon.”

“So then they cast it and then when Simon, well he didn't call, but they called and said ‘No you're not doing it [X Factor]’ I missed a huge gig. So I was furious,” explained Osbourne.

The reality show veteran continued to shade Cowell and said she was angry because of him.

“Do you remember everything that year in the press, they’re old, young blood. I went mad,” continued Osbourne.

She didn’t hide her grievances against Cowell as she shared, “And then he called me. He was trying to sweet talk me. He would always say change, change, change.” Virtually addressing him, Osbourne continued, “You’re the one that needs changing mate.”

She further fumed, “Someone who dresses the same for three decades, they don’t see that it’s not right. No one’s gonna tell him but everything, the same, the same, the same.”

Even Walsh joined Osbourne in bashing Cowell, and added, “I haven't talked to him at all, nothing. Zero.”

Sharon Osbourne shares she was once friend with Simon Cowell

Soon after entering the 'CBB' house, Osbourne shared in a candid chat with the housemates that she is no longer in touch with Simon Cowell. She branded the TV mogul "snotty" and claimed that he hadn't contacted her or Walsh before they entered the show as contestants.

Osbourne, who is married to Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne, shared: “He would not call Louis or I. He is very, what’s the word? Snotty. Simon just is," per The Mirror.

She further added, “He has his little posse around him, the same people he’s had for years, and that’s who he talks to. He’s not really one of these guys who’ll be like, ‘Hey great. You’ve given us a call. How are you doing? Yada, yada, yada. He’s not one of those ‘checking in’ on friends to see if you’re doing OK.”

She also shared that during the initial seasons, Cowell was close to both her and Walsh. Affirming, she said, “We were, in the beginning, the three of us, really close friends. But then he kind of left our group and went on. But no, he’s weird as far as friends go. Very, very closed off.”
