WASHINTON, DC: Former ESPN host Sage Steele recently made headlines by revealing that she thinks Donald Trump should be the next president of the United States. This sparked a lot of support on social media, with many echoing similar views.

Her announcement came after she admitted in an interview that her talk with current President Joe Biden in March 2021 was heavily controlled and scripted by ESPN's higher-ups.

After sharing her thoughts, Steele faced criticism from Keith Olbermann, a former colleague at ESPN, who compared her to being incredibly unintelligent. However, fans quickly came to her defense, standing up against the backlash.

Sage Steele asserts her top choice as next POTUS is Donald Trump

According to Fox News, Sage Steele has been opening up about her political views lately, stating that she sees former president Donald Trump as her top choice in the upcoming election over President Joe Biden.

In her interview with Fox News, Steele discussed her concerns regarding a potential rematch between Biden and Trump, highlighting how Democrats have tried hard to keep Trump off the ballot.

Steele expressed her worries and stated, "I'm nervous for him. Sometimes I get nervous for his safety. Honestly like it's crazy. The 91 charges, and you know, all the lawsuits and awarding $83 million… What happened with the Fani Willis case. Like, I am blown away. Every time I think, 'OL, this is a new low. It can't go any lower.' What happens?!"

She revealed that when she steps into the voting booth, she sets aside her emotions and focuses solely on each candidate's policies, Fox News reported.

Steele emphasized why Trump is her preferred choice and said, "To me, Donald Trump is the obvious answer based on what he believes, what he can do, what he has shown that he can do starting with the defense of our country, our safety, etc. and nothing to do with the personal stuff. I don't care anymore. It's about policy, not emotion. And that's what I wish people could get over is that emotional stuff. It's maddening."

As per Fox News, she also pointed out concerns about Biden's ability to serve a second term, mentioning, "You can even go back to those Chinese balloons, you know, over our territory for over a week. And little things like that, that aren't so little. If that's happening, what else is happening? So even people who don't go deep and take deep dives on everyday politics and the goings-on across the country, you don't need to take a deep dive to understand that we are in a dire situation. And to me, it really is now or never."

Wrapping up, Steele touched on speculation about Biden's mental acuity and asked, "Is he going to be able to do the best job possible for his country that he says he loves? And to me, the answer is quite obvious right now, no… I just don't think any of us knew how much he was struggling. And it honestly, that breaks my heart."

Internet feels Sage Steele is right about voting based on policies

Echoing the same thoughts as Steele, a user on Facebook wrote, "That’s so right. Thank you 🙏 our community needs to hear this from our youth."

Another user wrote, "Well said Sage! Moreover it is his history that is also extremely useful in determining his abilities. Look at how successful he has been throughout his life. He is blessed and he did this country well as president! Everyone spread the good reports of President Trump."

One person commented, "Spot on , Sage !!!! Take personalities out of the equation and look at policies and past performance !!!"

Another wrote, "What a novel idea. Vote according to a person’s policies and ideals, not how the media tells you to vote or how you feel about their personality."

One person said, "She’s right, if we want to exist as a country and not as a Provence of China, Trump is the obvious answer."

Another user commented, "She’s simply being reasonable. If only every other citizen can think of it this way, Americans won’t even hesitate to show Biden the exit in Nov. Biden has proven to be beyond incompetent and there’s absolutely no doubt about that."
