During the interview, he said, "It's crazy that someone who has been indicted in 91 different counts is controlling the modern-day Republican party. This person is a criminal and a conman and he controls half of the congress."

Donald Trump's Durham rally

With the 2024 campaign's first fight only weeks away, Donald Trump urged New Hampshire voters on Saturday, December 16, to support him in securing the Republican presidential nominee before any competitors could establish a foothold.

The former president was on a trip through early states where candidates are seeking to secure the nomination, and he used his commanding lead in the polls over a shrinking group of GOP contenders to justify his visit to Durham.

As Trump deals with several indictments and prepares for a potential rematch with President Joe Biden, the Democrat he lost to in 2020, they are attempting to obstruct his political recovery.

"We are going to crush crooked Joe Biden next November, and we are going to win the New Hampshire primary," Trump declared, assuring his supporters that following Iowa's kickoff caucuses, their state will still hold the country's first primary.
