MANHATTAN, NEW YORK: Jimmy Fallon took a jab at Rudy Giuliani by bringing up his infamous hair dye moment on the Tuesday, June 11 episode of 'The Tonight Show' as the former New York City mayor was processed in Arizona over the fake electors scheme.

In May, the former Donald Trump lawyer pleaded not guilty to nine felony charges stemming from his alleged role in the effort, as per Associated Press. Guiliani is one of 18 people indicted in the Arizona case, including John Eastman, Christina Bobb, and Jenna Ellis.

Discussing Giuliani's news, Fallon said, "I read that after being indicted for election-interference charges in Arizona, Rudy Giuliani just turned himself in for processing. Honestly, I think we're all trying to process Rudy Giuliani."

The late-night joked that instead of using the ink provided by the office, the former NYC mayor might source it from his own head—a nod to the infamous 2020 press conference where dark liquid appeared to drip down Giuliani’s face as he defended former President Trump's election falsehoods.

Fallon quipped, "Police took his fingerprints. They handed Rudy the ink pad, and he was like, 'No need,'" gesturing how Giuliani might have placed his thumb on his head to get the ink.

'The Tonight Show' host then proceeded to show the mugshot of Giuliani released by the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, noting how a lot of people made fun of the picture. Fallon promptly stated, "But some have come out to show support Rudy," and remarked how Mr Burns from 'The Simpsons', Danny DeVito as Penguin, and Gollum from 'Lord Of The Rings' would have come to his defense.

Internet divided as Jimmy Fallon's jokes about Rudy Giuliani's infamous hair dye moment

Soon after the episode of 'The Tonight Show' was uploaded to YouTube, viewers came forward with their thoughts regarding Fallon poking fun at Giuliani's hair dye moment.

One expressed, "Spot on honest and hysterical as always thanks!" Another quipped, "Rudy's mug shot looks like there is a hole on top of his head, leaking 'something'......!!!!

However, a remark underscored, "Jimmy your jokes have no teeth. Always go for the softest of topic it the one that you cannot avoid. Trying to be liked by everybody makes you sound like you have no personality," while someone else echoed, "Man.. You used to be funny. Years ago."

Delving deeper into the topic, an individual elaborated, "Fallon's writers will be replaced with AI. Good riddance. Let's see what happens to late night comedy after that! They all make more money than they're worth already."
