IOWA, DES MOINES: In the Iowa caucuses on Monday (January 15) night, former President Donald Trump secured a decisive victory, marking the start of the 2024 Republican presidential nominating calendar.

The Fox News Decision Desk officially called the win for Trump at 8.31 pm ET, just half an hour after the caucuses began across Iowa.

This swift and clear triumph in Iowa provides the former president with a significant early win as he embarks on his campaign to reclaim the White House in the upcoming presidential election.

Following this news, Fox News host Sean Hannity took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share the epic win of Trump.

Several people on the internet also lauded Trump’s win.

Fox News anchor Sean Hannity took to X and wrote, “LANDSLIDE: Trump Comes Up Big in Iowa, Dominates GOP Field.”



 

Hannity’s tweet featured an article from his official website which reported that Donald Trump dominated the GOP field as Iowans heavily voted for ex-POTUS to bring him back to the White House.

During his victory speech in the caucus, Trump said, “We want to thank the great people of Iowa.”

After more than two hours following the announcement of Trump's victory, the Fox News Decision Desk projected that Florida Governor Ron DeSantis would secure a narrow second place, surpassing former ambassador to the United Nations and former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley.

Despite trailing behind Trump, this outcome positions DeSantis as a prominent figure in the Iowa caucuses, indicating his standing in the early stages of the 2024 Republican presidential nominating process.

Multimillionaire biotech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, a first-time political candidate, campaigned extensively across Iowa in recent months.

However, despite his efforts, he secured a distant fourth place as the results from over 1,600 precincts across the state were reported to the Iowa GOP.

Following these results, Ramaswamy reportedly dropped out of the presidential race.
