MOSCOW, RUSSIA: Tucker Carlson has stated that he had an "off the record" conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow and that the Russian leader is prepared to make compromises on Ukraine.

In a sensational interview conducted last week, the American talk show host questioned the Russian leader, allowing Putin to steer the conversation and make several astounding claims on Moscow's ongoing invasion of Ukraine.

Carlson claims Putin is prepared to compromise with Ukraine

Two years after starting his brutal invasion of Ukraine, Carlson said at the World Government Summit in Dubai on Monday, February 12, that he thinks Putin is now willing to reach a compromise. This is based on their conversation.

Naturally, the sheer nature of their jobs compels leaders in every nation on the globe — perhaps except for the United States in a unipolar world — to reach a compromise. Carlson stated, "This is what is called diplomacy," as reported by the Russian News Agency TASS.

As the Russian invasion of Ukraine continues, the controversial American also implied that Putin would 'not become more open to negotiations'.

Carlson believes Russia will only get stronger

Carlson stated that the West needs to take into account the fact that Russia will only become stronger.

"Over the past few years, we have found that Russian industrial capabilities are much more fundamental than we previously believed," Carlson said, as per TASS.

"It easily produces missiles and artillery shells while NATO does not. Myself, I heard American officials say that they will return Crimea to Ukraine. There is no need to lecture Russia. This is madness," he added.

It is also said that Carlson disclosed to the summit that he had a "off the record" conversation with the autocrat in Russia, albeit he did not elaborate on the nature of the conversation.

Internet weighs in on Tucker Carlson claims

Many Internet users believe that it is a great decision by Putin. A user wrote on X, "I believe peace could come ! Tuckers a great guy" whereas one commented, "I also believe it. The Ukraine fake war is nothing more than a money laundering operation between Zelensky and Biden. There's no war!"

A user also mentioned, "Tucker blew all mainstream media & print away! Destroying all of them!!!" while one said, "But the West says 'No way- how can we move that money around to so many different pockets without a war!'"
