Tucker Carlson makes a comeback as he launches 'relentlessly honest' streaming service after Fox News exit

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Tucker Carlson has launched his own streaming network. The former Fox News prime time host went on 'The Megyn Kelly Show' on December 11 to share the announcement.

The 'Tucker Carlson Network' has amassed a considerable following within 24 hours of its launch, with over 111,000 followers on their X handle.

"It will be the best thing that ever happened to @TuckerCarlson. It'll be a great thing for America," read the caption of a clip posted on Instagram by TMKS which showed an interaction between Carlson and the host on the former's latest venture.

What is the subscription fee for 'Tucker Carlson Network'?

When Kelly asked Carlson to elaborate on his venture, he said, "It's simply bringing programming to you by subscription digitally."

The platform charges $6 a month, billed annually. To get access to its content, a user would therefore have to pay $72 for a year.

"The point is really simple," says Carlson, "One, you want to bring a lot of material - I hate the word content - a lot of news, a lot of facts, a lot of thoughtful opinions to people. You want a library."

He mentioned the well-stocked library at his previous workplace and his intention to build something similar.

"And second, you need some (money)... if a lot of people work for you, if you want to gather the information, there are just too many things going on.

Tucker Carlson believes the upcoming year to be a 'wild ride'

"Something big is coming. You can probably feel it. Everybody can feel it," began Carlson in an Instagram video for his streaming platform announcement.

He warns viewers of the probability of "an economic meltdown, an unresolvable presidential race, unprecedented global migration," among others.

Knowing what is happening is extremely difficult, he claimed, now that we can no longer trust the big media companies or the government.

"We've been thinking about this a lot for the past eight months… Traveled to various countries around the world to see what America looks like from far away," continued Carlson.

"We have decided that we need something new, something relentlessly honest that the corporate gatekeepers can't touch. So we built a company… and will be rolling it out starting now… We've got a lot of good people working on this and hope it will make a difference."
