Donald Trump labeled 'insane' after Nancy Pelosi's daughter calls him out for 'obsession' with her mother

WASHINGTON, DC: Christine Pelosi, the daughter of former speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif), criticized former President Donald Trump over what she described as his "deranged obsession" with her mother.

Christine Pelosi's remarks came in response to comments Trump allegedly made during a morning meeting with House Republicans.

“His deceitful, deranged obsession with our mother is yet another reason Donald Trump is unwell, unhinged, and unfit to step foot anywhere near her — or the White House,” Christine Pelosi wrote on the social platform X.

Christine Pelosi's response was prompted by reported comments from Trump who, during his meeting with House Republicans, allegedly said, “Nancy Pelosi’s daughter is a whacko."

"Her daughter told me if things were different Nancy and I would be perfect together, there’s an age difference though," this quote was tweeted by Punchbowl’s Jake Sherman who noted that the comment was “close to an exact quote.”

Christine Pelosi's response to Donald Trump 

“Speaking for all 4 Pelosi daughters — this is a LIE,” Christine Pelosi wrote in her post on X.

“That guy has clearly lost his marbles. Not that he had many to begin with,” added a spokesperson, according to The Hill. 

Earlier that day, Nancy Pelosi had reportedly herself targeted Trump over his visit to Capitol Hill, marking his first since January 6, 2021, when rioters stormed the building to protest the results of the 2020 election.

She said, “The instigator of an insurrection is returning to the scene of the crime.”

“With his pledges to be a dictator on day one and seek revenge against his political opponents, Donald Trump comes to Capitol Hill today with the same mission of dismantling our democracy,” Nancy added.

"But make no mistake — Trump has already cemented his legacy of shame in our hallowed halls," she further said.

 Internet reacts to Donald Trump's comments about Nancy Pelosi's daughter

Reactions on social media were critical of Trump's alleged comments.

One user on X wrote, "There is no explanation for the verbal diarrhea that comes out of Trump’s mouth other than that he is completely insane."

Another mocked, "What the actual fuck is wrong with him? Never mind, no one has that kind of time," another one said, "He’s completely batshit crazy."

Others expressed disbelief and criticism, with one commenting, "Unbelievable but he’ll say anything for attention," wrote another.

One more stated, "He's terrified of your mother bc he knows he can't best her and she's smarter, braver, and more effective than he will ever be."

"Everything he says needs to be fact checked, the closer to the election the more bizarre they get," wrote one more. "Clearly Trump is obsessed with Nancy Pelosi," noted one. 

"Perfectly normal policy — wtaf!? Please tell me there’s some sort of defamation charge here for Christine Pelosi — or even just a comment “TRUMP IS INSANE!”
