LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Recent events on American university campuses have thrust the spotlight onto a concerning shift from anti-war sentiment to what some perceive as overtly anti-American and even pro-terrorism demonstrations.

Fox News host Jesse Watters has been at the forefront of decoding these alarming developments, shedding light on the disturbing trend that has left many Americans reeling in disbelief and concern.

Hamas supporters blockade Jewish students

In a recent segment, Watters highlighted instances where protests descended into chaos, with reports of 'Hamas-loving undergrads' creating human barricades to block Jewish students from freely moving about campus, resorting to alleged violent tactics and intimidation.

Watters remarked, "Hamas-loving undergrads created human chains to block Jewish students from moving throughout campus, shrieking war cries, and physically intimidating other students. One Jewish student at Yale was stabbed in the eye with a Palestinian flag."

He shared his Fox News segment with the words: "A new wave of riots are being stoked on campus. The movement has gone from anti-war to anti-American to pro-terrorism."

Campus radicalization on the rise

The term "Jihad University" has been coined to describe campuses where fervent displays of support for groups like Hamas have become increasingly commonplace.

According to reports, at Columbia University, protests have escalated to alarming levels, with chants of "death to America" mingling with scenes of revelry, including dancing and pizza consumption.

Critics argue that the normalization of antisemitic and anti-American sentiment on college campuses is deeply troubling and indicative of a broader societal shift that cannot be ignored.

In response to the escalating tensions, universities have taken drastic measures, with Columbia University opting to cancel classes and revert to remote learning in an effort to quell the unrest.

Watters remarked, "So Ivy League antisemitism is just as powerful as the pandemic."

Public outcry: questions of funding and escalating violence

As concerns mount over the origins and sustenance of these contentious gatherings, social media users have been quick to express their apprehensions.

One user said, "Who is funding this. There is cash being poured into these "gatherings". Start fining heavily and prosecuting those who are funding this nonsense, and it stops."

Another added, "And so it begins. Probably going to be a lot worse than the summer of 2020."

One user said, "Oh no, it's still anti-American..."

Another said, "Maybe this latest escalation and violence on campuses will wake some people up?!?"

One user replied, "NYU heating up....when will the rocks, bricks and fires start?
