"He's someone we can work with and that's what we need," Fonda said, drawing a contrast between Biden and Donald Trump whom she called the "Orange Man" several times in her interview. Jill Biden has previously argued that her husband's age is an asset

Jill Biden has made the case in the past that her husband's advanced age is a plus. "This election is not about age. I mean Donald Trump is going to be 78 and Joe's 81. They're basically the same age," she told the co-hosts of 'The View' last month. "But, it's about character. This election is about character," she added.

Internet users mock Jane Fonda for defending Joe Biden

Netizens chaffed the Hollywood vet after she defended the current US president. One X user tweeted, "It’s Jane Fonda people…like anyone cares!" Another wrote, "Celebrity interference in politics. It's frustrating when public figures weigh in on serious issues without substantial evidence, turning important discussions into partisan spectacle."

"Her best acting in a long time," added one while another chimed in, "How come all the people who defend Biden's sanity are older than he is?" "How would she know? She's decades past her use by date," echoed one and another penned, "Jane Fonda thinking she can gaslight us."
