In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Kennedy Jr noted that the government's dishonesty was a factor complicating the differentiation between conspiracy theories and facts about 9/11.

“My take on 9/11: It’s hard to tell what is a conspiracy theory and what isn’t. But conspiracy theories flourish when the government routinely lies to the public. As President I won’t take sides on 9/11 or any of the other debates,” he tweeted.

RFK Jr's follow up on Saudia Arabia's involvement claims

In a follow-up comment, Kennedy Jr referred to a recently aired segment on CBS's '60 Minutes' that explored potential involvement from Saudi Arabia in the 9/11 attacks.

The investigation conducted by the federal government concluded that al Qaeda acted alone in the attacks. However, allegations have persisted that the Saudi government may have assisted or been complicit, according to The Hill.

Some family members of the 9/11 victims have been pressing for more information regarding Saudi's potential involvement in the attacks.

The “60 Minutes” report unveiled footage of a Saudi intelligence operative with ties to two hijackers outside the Capitol two years before the 9/11 attacks, around the time the attack targets were chosen.
