RICHMOND, VIRGINIA: Representative Bob Good stated he has plans to block the certification of election results in the biggest city of Virginia's 5th congressional district, where he is lagging behind Donald Trump-backed primary opponent John McGuire III.

Appearing on Steve Bannon's 'War Room' podcast episode on Monday, Juen 24, the Republican reiterated the arguments regarding election fraud, raising concerns over the security of election drop boxes in Lynchburg, a key city in the primary race for Congress, The Hill reported.

"The bottom line is we can't certify this election. There's great concern of inappropriate activity relative to the biggest city in the district, Lynchburg City," the lawmaker told Bannon.

Bob Good's allegation on 'unsecured' election drop boxes from Lynchburg

Virginia congressman Bob Good argued that the election drop boxes from Lynchburg were not secured and had no accountability regarding their opening times. "They were apparently left to be stuffed for two or three days after the election. There's no accountability for who opened those, how many ballots came out," Good claimed.

The House Freedom Caucus chair's allegations of election fraud mirrored similar concerns raised by the 'Stop the Steal' movement that attempted to reverse Trump's defeat in the 2020 presidential election.

Recently, Good doubled down on his election security concerns, noting the fire alarm had gone off in three voting stations, indicating suspicious activity. However, as per reports, election officials dealt with the issue and did not turn away any voters.

"So we're going to do everything, Steve, to try to block certification of this election, to have a full investigation of the evidence of potential malfeasance here and make sure this election actually reflects the intent of the voters who legitimately and legally participating," the embattled lawmaker continued.

"And we're going to be making a legal challenge in the next couple of days to demonstrate that Lynchburg the biggest city can't be certified," Good added.

The latest tally in the primary contest suggested Good was less than 400 votes behind McGiure, a state senator and a former Navy SEAL who received former president Donald Trump's endorsement last month. The race that took place on June 18 is yet to be called.

Bob Good mocked for planning to block primary election certification

Virginia Representative Bob Good's claims of election fraud in the primary race, and his plan to halt the certification of results led to his mockery on social media.

One social media user wrote, "Just another sore loser crybaby Republican!"

"Maga got so wrapped up in their 'deny the results, complain it was rigged, sue' plan, it's become their go to every time they lose ... even against their own," another added.

One person remarked, "Once and election denier always an election denier. @RepBobGood." Meanwhile, another response read, "Interfering with the elections classic GQP style…"

One individual said, "Bob Good is a coward who never got around to helping Virginia get rid of its ballot drop boxes, and learned firsthand why Republicans have been working to get rid of them. Congrats Bob, here’s your L."

"So this is how it's gonna be? Whenever a Republican loses he or she is going to whine and cry all the way to the courts to beg them for help? Talk about sore losers! It's PATHETIC too!" someone else chimed in.

One person said, "Such crybabies. Just like their leader." Another added, "This is a good thing. Now they can look and see how stupid they look when they say it’s rigged etc."
