NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: At a campaign stop in Laconia, New Hampshire, which marked the final rally before the state's Republican primary, former president Donald Trump declared that, if elected, his administration would emulate Israel's Iron Dome defense system by implementing a similar protective measure along the United States' national borders.

Following this news, Fox News anchor Sean Hannity took to X, formerly known as Twitter to share this with his followers.

However, many people on the internet took a brutal jab at Trump as several called him and "idiot."

Sean Hannity reports on Donald Trump's plans to build iron domes in US

Fox News host Sean Hannity took to X and wrote, “DON ON DOME: Trump Tells New Hampshire It's Time US Had Its Own Iron Dome [WATCH]. TRUMP: “We’ll build an iron dome over our country, a state-of-the-art missile defense shield, and it’s all made in the USA."

Hannity’s tweet featured an article from his official website which stated that Donald Trump is teasing a US Iron Dome.

In his address to supporters before the New Hampshire Primary on Monday night, Trump committed to building an Iron Dome system to safeguard America from missile attacks.

He said at a rally in New Hampshire, “We’ll build an iron dome over our country, a state-of-the-art missile defense shield, and it’s all made in the USA.”

Trump continued, “We do it for other countries. We help other countries, we build, we don’t do it for ourselves. I think it’s time that we have one.”

However, the tone took a peculiar turn as Trump sought once again to assert his "extremely stable genius" status.

He remarked, "These are not muscle guys here; they're muscle guys up here, right," gesturing first to his arms and then to his head.

He added, “And they calmly walk to us, and ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding.… They’ve only got 17 seconds to figure this whole thing out. Boom. OK. Missile launch. Woosh. Boom.”

The remarkable display followed the 77-year-old's boast about taking a cognitive test, where he claimed to successfully identify a giraffe, tiger, and whale.

Trump asserted that this achievement indicated his mind was stronger now than it was 25 years ago.

In actuality, the cognitive test he referred to is designed to assess dementia or cognitive decline, and it does not include the specific combination of animals that Trump has repeatedly mentioned.

Internet bash Donald Trump, calls him an ‘idiot’

Many X users bashed Donald Trump after he committed to building an iron dome over America.

One person wrote, “I mean.  He couldn't even build a wall..  now he's onto domes?  🙄,” and another added, “he thinks its an actual physical dome - what an idiot.”

An X user simply slammed Trump saying, “No, he won't. He didn't build the wall. Mexico did not pay. He did not repeal and replace. There was no infrastructure week. The list is endless,” and another said, “What a clown , he really thinks it will be a physical structure , fkn lunatic.”

One more person took a brutal jab at Trump, “What a moron-and anyone who supports him is just as bad,” and another said, “This is literally only a fantasy in Trump's head. He has no and will never have a plan to accomplish anything. Just like with his first term, nothing but empty promises with zero plan in place.”
