Internet slams MTG as she criticizes Joe Biden for coinciding Transgender Day of Visibility with Easter
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene criticized President Joe Biden for declaring March 31, 2024, as the Transgender Day of Visibility, coinciding with Easter Sunday this year.
In a tirade on X (formerly Twitter), Greene asserted that the Democrats were ridiculing the Christian faith, seemingly unaware that March 31 is annually recognized as the International Transgender Day of Visibility, with the President traditionally issuing a proclamation from the White House.
The coincidence of it falling on Easter this year is purely incidental.

Taking to the social media platform, the US Representative of Georgia shared a screengrab from Biden's proclamation released by the White House that read, "NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOSEPH R BIDEN JR, President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim March 31, 2024, as Transgender Day of Visibility."
"I call upon all Americans to join us in lifting up the lives and voices of transgender people throughout our Nation and to work toward eliminating violence and discrimination based on gender identity," it added.
Greene wrote in the post, "Biden and the Democrats decided Easter - the Holy Day of our Savior’s Resurrection - as a transgender day of visibility. There is no length Biden and the Democrats won’t go to to mock your faith, and to thumb his nose at God."
"We know that Christ is King and God will not be mocked, just like we know Joe Biden isn’t really the one calling the shots in the White House," she proceeded, concluding, "Psalm 37:13: ‘but the Lord laughs at the wicked, for he knows their day is coming.’"

"Easter happens to fall on the 31st, which is also transgender day. If you would have come out from under the bleachers in high school, you would know how Easter dates work," responded a user to MTG's post.

"Sweetie, Trump had the exact same day. Any true Christian would know that it's Easter that hops around, not visibility day. Sometimes they're gonna end up at the same time," noted a user.

"It's has nothing to do with your faith. As a Christian you are supposed to be accepting and helping to all. That's Jesus teachings. You're all CINO's and Jesus would not be impressed," slammed a user. [sic]

"The irony of your performative outrage is that it highlights how President Biden is a better Christian than you could ever pretend to be," quipped a user.
