Internet split as Jeff Daniels urges Midwest voters to realize Trump ‘lies' to them and vote for Biden
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Actor Jeff Daniels voiced his desire for United States citizens to look past Donald Trump and support the current president in the upcoming presidential elections. This lead to mixed reactions online.
Adding to the chatter, Trump recently faced backlash for suggesting that if reelected, his administration would implement a strict ideological screening process for immigrants entering the US. This sparked concerns among social media users about potential threats to their freedom.
Jeff Daniels asserts Midwestern voters should vote for Joe Biden instead of Trump
According to the Hill, actor Jeff Daniels believes voters in the Midwest, often referred to as "flyover states," need to realize that former President Trump talks down to them.
Daniels appeared on MSNBC's 'Morning Joe' to discuss his new Netflix show 'A Man in Full' and the key issues facing Midwest voters in the upcoming November election.
Daniels criticized Trump, suggesting that the former president talks down to Midwestern residents, which could lead to the GOP's downfall.

During his appearance on the show, host Jonathan Lemire asked Daniels about the role of income class in the Biden-Trump showdown and whether Michigan would be a deciding factor.
In response, Daniels highlighted, "Well class, yes, but what stretches over class, I think, is decency and honesty and values and principles. I mean, we live in the Midwest. We don’t necessarily take New York and LA as seriously as New York and LA takes itself. You know, I hate to tell you. But we’re flyover country, and we’re always, we got a chip on our shoulder about that. And we get, we’re not as stupid as people like Trump in particular think we are. He talks down to us. He talks past us. He lies to us. And but we get it."
Daniels also commented on the internal war within the Republican Party and the broader war for democracy, which he believes will culminate in the November election. He expressed cautious optimism that voters, especially those in states like Michigan, will recognize the need for change and vote for Biden, as per Mediaite.

Daniels said, "And I think that’s when the voters, and I would be, I’m cautiously optimistic that the people in the middle, the people in states like Michigan, are going to go, ‘You know what? We’re better than this. I’m going to vote for Biden, even though he’s old, which also translates into wise and wisdom, which we may need right now because the election I really want to vote on is the one in 2028, when people are now running with the future.’ All those folks."
