WASHINGTON, DC: Several reports state that the unpleasant odor emanating from the Manhattan 100 Centre Street Courthouse is caused by former President Donald Trump, who is allegedly farting during his criminal trial for hush money, according to OK Magazine.

In a video uploaded on Friday, April 19, Ben Meiselas, the co-founder of MeidasTouch and the owner of Los Angeles Magazine, asserts that it's "very stinky around him" and that "Donald Trump is actually farting in the courtroom".

He told his viewers on MTN, "I'm hearing it from actual credible people that as he's kind of falling asleep. He's actually passing gas and that his lawyers are really struggling with the smell."

Notably, in a historic event that was abruptly overshadowed at lunchtime by the spectacle of a man burning himself on fire outside the courtroom, the remaining jurors for Trump's criminal trial were selected on Friday. Attorneys are getting ready to make opening comments on Monday, April 22.

A panel of 12 seated jurors and six alternates will hear allegations from the Manhattan district attorney's office that Trump attempted to conceal a sex scandal that would have jeopardized his 2016 presidential bid. Five Manhattan residents were selected on Friday to complete the group.

From the beginning of the day, there was a strong emotional presence. A number of potential jurors were agitated, asking to be dismissed; one even declared she was too anxious to finish the procedure.

Donald Trump is accused of having a sexual encounter with Stormy Daniels, finding a way to pay her to keep quiet about it, and then disguising those payments as a business expense.

The former president, who sharply criticized the case and entered a not guilty plea, refutes her allegation. He is the first American president to be tried for a criminal case.

Internet trolls Donald Trump for 'farting' in courtroom

People online trolled Donald Trump as there were claims that the former President had farted in the courtroom during the hush money trial.

A user wrote on X, "He is gassing the jurors. That’s assault" while one added, "Donald Trump looks like he has made a big fart."

A user also wrote, "Donald Trump is no longer capable of serving as President. He’s deteriorated to the point where all he can do is scowl, threaten, fall asleep, and fart. Of course, he’s still a role model for Republican voters."

A person added, "Honestly, it's hard to imagine a more embarrassing and undignified way for a former president to behave in court. But then again, this is Donald Trump we're talking about, so maybe we shouldn't be surprised" whereas one mentioned, "Is tooting in court part of free speech?"
