WASHINGTON, DC: The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) has charged 'Squad' Rep Ilhan Omar with 'blood libel' for her assertion that there are only two factions among Jewish students: 'pro-genocide' or 'anti-genocide', according to the New York Post.

Notably, Omar doubled down on her words, which she made on Friday, April 26, when visiting anti-Israel protesters at Columbia University.

ADL accuses Ilhan Omar of ‘blood libel’

Omar informed a local reporter, "So I actually met a lot of Jewish students that are in the encampments. And I think it is really unfortunate that people don’t care about the fact that all Jewish kids should be kept safe and that we should not have to tolerate antisemitism or bigotry for all Jewish students whether they are pro-genocide or anti-genocide."

Notably, Omar is the first elected female Muslim American member of the House of Representatives, together with Rep Rashida Tlaib. Moreover, Omar called the war a 'genocide' shortly after Israel responded against Hamas for the deadly Oct 7, 2023, surprise strike that claimed an estimated 1,200 lives.

ADL CEO Jonathan Greenblatt chastised Omar for her remarks, which implied that she thought anybody who did not oppose Israel's fight against Hamas was in favor of genocide. Greenblatt called Omar's remarks 'blood libel'.

Greenblatt wrote on X, "It is patently false and a blood libel to suggest that ANY Jewish students are ‘pro-genocide.’ It is gaslighting to impute that Jewish people are somehow at fault for being harassed and menaced with signs and slogans literally calling for their own extermination."

In support of her comments, Omar cited an article in the Intercept concerning the Department of Education's Office for Civil Rights' inquiry into the University of Massachusetts Amherst on claims of "anti-Palestinian and anti-Arab harassment and discrimination by fellow students."

Moreover, a comparable federal lawsuit against Columbia was filed by the same group that brought the UMass case.

Omar wrote on X, "This is the pro-genocide I was talking about, can you condemn this like I have condemned antisemitism and bigotry of all kind? 'Kill All Arabs' 'They are all Hamas. All grotesquely evil' 'Level Gaza'."

Internet trolls Ilhan Omar as ADL accuses her of 'blood libel'

People on the Internet slammed Ilhan Omar as ADL charged her with 'blood libel' for labeling Jewish students as "pro-genocide" or "anti-genocide."

A user posted on X, "Sue her for defamation," while one added, "She is one of the many people in our government working to destroy it."

A person stated, "How is she still in Congress." Someone else mentioned, "Omar needs to be voted out of office!!"

A user said, "ADL is correct," while one stated, "Accurate. The congresswoman is engaging in blood libel."
