WASHINGTON, DC: Wisconsin mother Katie Neubauer was shocked when volunteers at the Winnebago County Democratic Party booth handed her 8-year-old son a bracelet demanding the death of President Trump.

The bracelet, emblazoned with the chilling question "Is he dead yet?" sparked outrage and stunned Neubauer during their recent visit.

Katie Neubauer told The Faulkner Focus on Thursday, October 16, that she handed the bracelet back to the volunteer.

She began, "The guy behind the tent table said, ‘Hey, give this to your mom, she’s going to really want this,’ and one of the children comes running up, gives us the bracelet and we’re looking at it and it literally says ‘Is He Dead Yet?’ on the bracelet."

She continued, "It’s hate speech. It’s literally wishing death on somebody, which isn’t appropriate in any scenario."

"We don't wear hate speech here," Neubauer emphasized. "I had to walk away because I was seething."

Neubauer said she later returned to the booth and noticed other bracelets with anti-Trump messages, including ones marked '8647'.

The phrase combines “86,” slang for “get rid of” or “kill,” with “47,” referring to Trump as the 47th president.

Concerned, Neubauer contacted the farmers' market manager, who told her she wasn’t the first person to complain. “In fact, there were about 10 complaints total that particular day,” Neubauer said. Reports confirmed that the Winnebago County Democratic Party operated the booth.

Following the complaints, party officials and market organizers decided not to return for the remaining market dates this season.

What did the farmers market manager report about anti-Trump bracelet?

Michelle Schmid-Schultz, the farmers market manager, confirmed that the bracelets violated the market’s rules prohibiting hate speech. Despite the breach, she said the Winnebago County Democratic Party would still be allowed to participate in future markets.

Philip Shulman, Communications Director for the Democratic Party of Wisconsin, responded via text, saying, “The materials brought by a volunteer without the authorization of the Party are not in line with our values and we regret this happened.”

Cameron Clark, chairman of the Republican Party of Winnebago County, expressed concern, especially in light of the recent killing of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

Clark shared, “We are at a time in our country where political violence is at an all-time high, and to have one of the major parties out there continuing to perpetuate it would be very sad."

Donald Trump urges lawmakers to tone down their rhetoric

This controversy comes amid growing warnings about rising political violence. President Trump has urged lawmakers to lower the temperature of their rhetoric, noting an increase in violence aimed at conservatives.

During a ceremony where he posthumously awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom to political activist Charlie Kirk, Trump stated, “We've watched legions of far-left radicals resort to desperate acts of violence and terror because they know that their ideas and arguments are persuading no one.”

Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA, was tragically killed on the campus of Utah Valley University in September. Trump himself has survived two assassination attempts, and Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro faced an arson attempt at the governor’s mansion.
