LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Halle Bailey is loving her new life as a mother. The singer-songwriter-actress recently revealed the name of her baby boy and talked about her secret pregnancy.
“It was actually my boyfriend's idea,” she said about the moniker 'Halo.' “He's the one who came up with his name,” she added. Bailey further said, “We just agreed, and we loved it. I love the name Halo."
"It's so exciting, this new role for me. I'm obsessed with my baby boy. He's the sweetest angel in the world," she continued.

Halle Bailey received online criticism over hiding pregnancy
She announced the birth of her son with partner DDG over an Instagram post as she shared a picture holding the hand of the newborn wearing a gold bracelet.
“Even though we’re a few days into the new year, the greatest thing that 2023 could have done for me, was bring me my son.. welcome to the world my halo 🥰👼🏽 ✨the world is desperate to know you 😉🤣♥️," Halle captioned the post.
A few days later, DDG, too, posted a video on his YouTube account and talked about his experience as a father.
"Me and Halle had a baby together. I wouldn't chose no other person in the world to have a child with. We learning. She's a great mom. Like it's crazy. She's amazing," the rapper said.
Meanwhile, a few fans, who earlier criticized the singer for hiding her pregnancy all along, defended her actions.
“I never lied or even said anything about it honey, making a joke about my nose was the farthest I went,” she said.
“I’ll never understand why you are mad I protected my own peace, wouldn’t you do the same?” she further questioned.
“And I’m gonna share my pics now if I want to because my son is here safely, if u don’t wanna see it just keep scrolling baby lol God bless you !♥️,” said Bailey.

Halle Bailey shared the benefits of her Hydration water brand
Halle is also currently working with her sister Chloe since the two recently launched the CORE Hydration water brand, reports People.
Talking about the drinking water, the artist said, "I am breastfeeding, and it takes a lot out of you. You have to drink so much water."
"So the fact that CORE Hydration has electrolytes and everything else, and the pH balance is really good, it's what I actually need for myself," she added.
"It's really helping me as I go into this new journey, because I've never done this before," she further said.
"I'm discovering so many different things about myself. It's like a dream come true," she continued.
