Ivanka Trump addresses husband Jared Kushner's 'absence' in heartfelt Father's Day family post
WASHINGTON, DC: Ivanka Trump has opened up about husband Jared Kushner's absence from her family's Father's Day celebration, sharing an emotional message alongside a series of photos from Camp David.
On Monday, June 29, she posted moments from the family getaway, reflecting on how love and family extend beyond simply being physically present.
The mother of three spent Father's Day with her father, President Donald Trump, her siblings, their children and other family members at the secluded presidential retreat in Maryland.
Ivanka Trump says Jared Kushner's absence was 'born on purpose'
Sharing glimpses from the family celebration on Instagram, Ivanka Trump reflected on the importance of spending time with loved ones while acknowledging that Jared Kushner could not join them.
"Last Sunday, we gathered at Camp David with my dad, my siblings, our children and their cousins," she wrote in the caption. "Grateful for another Father's Day together."
She then addressed her husband's absence, explaining that it was intentional rather than unexpected.
"Jared couldn't be with us. But his absence was one born on purpose. And we felt his presence all the same," she continued.
The heartfelt message quickly became one of the most talked-about parts of her post, as she reflected on the moments that truly shape family life.
"The older I get, the more I realize that family is built in both the extraordinary moments and the ordinary ones: a walk, a laugh, a story shared around the dinner table."
According to Ivanka, it is these simple experiences that leave the biggest mark on children and families over time.
"These become the memories our children carry forward. Feeling especially grateful for the fathers who love, lead, and serve through both presence and sacrifice," she added.

Alongside the emotional caption, Ivanka Trump posted several photos from the Camp David retreat featuring her children - Arabella, 13, Joseph, 10, and Theodore, eight.
Some of the pictures showed the children posing with their grandfather, Donald Trump, while others captured Ivanka enjoying different activities throughout the getaway.
She also shared a photo in front of the Camp David sign with her children and posted snapshots of herself riding horses with her brother, Eric Trump.
Other moments from the family gathering included a visit to the shooting range at the 125-acre retreat and a meal shared with her sister, Tiffany Trump.
Tiffany attended the Father's Day gathering with her husband, Michael Boulos, and their one-year-old son, Alexander. Donald Trump Jr was also present alongside his new bride, Bettina Anderson.
Jared Kushner's absence comes amid attention on Albania resort plans
Although Ivanka Trump did not explain exactly why Jared Kushner was away from the Father's Day celebration, his absence comes as the couple's plans for a luxury resort in Albania have continued to draw attention.
The proposed development would be built on Sazan Island, a former military outpost that is protected because of its rich biodiversity.
The project has sparked protests in Albania, with residents arguing that construction of the luxury resort could cause significant ecological damage if it moves forward.
Earlier this year, Ivanka spoke about how she and Kushner first discovered the island during an appearance on the David Senra podcast in May.
She explained that the couple came across Sazan Island while on a yacht trip in 2021 and immediately saw its potential as the location for a luxury resort.
