Ivanka Trump subtly hints she's not fond of brother Don Jr's new girlfriend Bettina Anderson

PALM BEACH, FLORIDA: Tensions may be simmering behind the scenes in the Trump family, as Ivanka Trump appeared to throw quiet shade at her brother Donald Trump Jr’s new girlfriend, Bettina Anderson, following Tiffany Trump’s Peter Rabbit-themed baby shower. 

Anderson, a Palm Beach socialite, was first linked to Don Jr in August 2024, when the couple was spotted engaging in PDA at The Honor Bar. Their romance quickly escalated, with the pair making their public debut during the January 2025 inauguration festivities for President Donald Trump. 

Now reportedly living together, their relationship seems to be growing serious — but not everyone in the Trump orbit is on board.

Ivanka’s post from Tiffany Trump’s baby shower doesn’t include a picture of Bettina Anderson

Donald Trump Jr may have taken his relationship with Bettina Anderson public during the presidential inauguration, but it seems his sister Ivanka Trump isn’t rushing to showcase the new couple online.

When Ivanka posted a nine-photo carousel on Instagram from the Peter Rabbit-themed baby shower she hosted for Tiffany in early April 2025, Anderson was noticeably missing.

Despite the event taking place months after Anderson and Don Jr were first spotted on a dinner date, the socialite didn’t appear in any of the shared images.

To be fair, only three of the nine photos included people - featuring Tiffany, Ivanka, and in one, Lara Trump. The rest focused on elegant decor, catering, and gifts, subtly sidestepping any broader guest list reveals.

Anderson’s absence from Ivanka’s Instagram posts may be a sign she is yet to embrace her brother’s new relationship.

Although Anderson, a Palm Beach socialite, attended Tiffany’s baby shower and was photographed alongside both Ivanka and Lara, she was conspicuously left out of Ivanka’s and Tiffany’s social media posts from the event. The only acknowledgment of her presence came from Lara Trump, wife of Eric Trump, who included Anderson in her own post.

Even during President Donald Trump’s January inauguration, which marked Anderson’s public debut with Don Jr, she was not seated with the immediate Trump family - another subtle sign of distance.

However, reports from the Daily Beast suggest that Anderson may be gradually gaining a foothold within the family circle. At the baby shower, she was seen standing closer to the family than before and even appeared next to Lara in a group photo.

Ivanka Trump’s choice to leave Bettina Anderson out of her Instagram posts from Tiffany Trump’s baby shower isn’t without precedent —she’s excluded other women close to her brother in the past.

As reported by Nicki Swift, Ivanka famously cropped Kimberly Guilfoyle, Donald Trump Jr’s former fiancee, out of a group photo from Tiffany’s wedding. At the time, many reports suggested it was because Guilfoyle wore a black dress while the rest of the women were in soft pastel tones, making her stand out awkwardly in the picture.

Despite that incident, a source later told that Ivanka and Guilfoyle actually shared a close and friendly bond.

Given that history, it’s possible that Ivanka’s recent snub of Anderson is less about Anderson herself and more about Ivanka’s feelings toward her brother’s changing relationships. If she was genuinely close to Guilfoyle, she might still be coming to terms with that breakup.

Before Guilfoyle, Ivanka also had a warm relationship with Don Jr’s ex-wife, Vanessa Trump, who has stayed close to the Trump family even after their divorce. 

Back in 2016, Ivanka publicly praised Vanessa in an interview with People, calling her an inspiration and even crediting her as a trusted babysitter.

All of this suggests Ivanka may be hesitant to embrace a new partner for her brother too quickly - especially in such a public way.
