Jack Black gets blasted after John Rich shades him for supporting Joe Biden at star-studded fundraiser
WASHINGTON, DC: John Rich fumed at Jack Black after the comedian publicly endorsed President Joe Biden for the upcoming 2024 election.
With President Biden and former President Donald Trump, the presumptive Democratic and Republican nominees respectively, set for a rematch of the 2020 election, the two have clashed over major issues like the economy, abortion rights and the state of democracy.
Political observers consider the 2024 election to be one of the most pivotal in modern history. On June 15, Biden campaign held a star-studded fundraiser featuring celebrities like Jimmy Kimmel, George Clooney, Julia Roberts, Barbra Streisand and former President Barack Obama.

Jack Black endorses Joe Biden for 2024 presidential elections
Black, donning American flag overalls, took the stage to voice his support for Biden. The clip of his appearance quickly went viral. Rich voiced his disapproval of Black's participation in the event. Known for his outspoken criticism of Biden and his supporters on social media, Rich didn’t spare Black from his ire.
"For a comedian, Ol @JackBlack doesn't have the best timing does he?" Rich posted on X, formerly known as Twitter. Rich's post responded to a video from the X account @BidensWins, which tracks President Biden's accomplishments and has a large following among his supporters.

The account captioned the video, "BREAKING: Jack Black just delivered the strongest endorsement of President Biden this cycle and in the process he absolutely demolishes Donald Trump. Retweet so all Americans see this."
In the clip, Black humorously mentioned turning down various offers, from MCing a bat mitzvah to judging an avocado festival, to support Biden at the fundraiser. "And when the president wins in November—yeah!—I'm pretty sure I'm going to get a sweet shout-out in his victory speech for what I gave up to be here," Black quipped. "Because when democracy is at stake, Jack Black answers the call. Mr President, you're welcome," he added.
