Jack Osbourne expecting fifth child, says Ozzy knew of Aree Gearhart’s pregnancy: 'Partly healing'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The Osbourne family is expanding again, and the timing carries deep emotional weight.
Jack Osbourne and his wife, Aree Gearhart, are expecting their second child together, and Jack says his late father, Ozzy Osbourne, knew the happy news before his death earlier this year.
Jack Osbourne announces baby No 5 as he and Aree Gearhart expect second child
Jack Osbourne, 40, revealed to The Sun that he and his wife, Aree Gearhart, 34, are preparing to welcome their second baby together, Jack’s fifth child overall.
The announcement comes shortly after Jack’s eviction from 'I’m a Celebrity,' and he couldn’t hide his excitement. “It’s awesome,” he said. “We’re super-excited. It was sort of planned, I should say. It was maybe a little earlier than expected. But it’s definitely something that we were wanting to pursue and somehow it happened, miraculously.”
Jack shared that Aree is now 28 weeks pregnant, placing the new baby’s arrival in early 2026. The couple, who welcomed their daughter Maple in July 2022, tied the knot in 2023 after going public with their relationship in late 2019.
Jack also shares three daughters, Pearl, 13; Andy, 10; and Minnie, 7, with his ex-wife Lisa Stelly.
Jack Osbourne says Ozzy knew about pregnancy before his death
Perhaps the most emotional detail Jack Osbourne revealed was that his late father, legendary Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne, knew about the pregnancy before his passing in July. Jack described the moment as meaningful and bittersweet, especially as the family continues to mourn Ozzy’s loss.
The new baby, he said, has been “healing” in ways he didn’t expect. “I think it’s been partly a healthy distraction, partly healing, probably in that kind of ‘full cycle’ category, in a weird way,” Jack shared. “It’s very much taken energy out of the grieving side of things and parked in a bit more hopefulness.”
Ozzy died on July 22 at age 76, leaving behind a decades-long legacy as one of heavy metal’s most iconic figures. Jack posted a tribute a month later, writing, “My heart is full of so much sadness and sorrow, but also so much love and gratitude… I got 14,501 days with that man and I know that is such a blessing.”
Jack Osbourne and Aree Gearhart find healing as they grow their family
Jack Osbourne and Aree Gearhart, known for keeping their children’s lives mostly offline, have shared only occasional glimpses of their blended family, including a rare full-family photo Jack posted in August 2024. Now, as they prepare for a new addition, the couple says they are cherishing both the joy of new life and the ache of losing Ozzy Osbourne.
Jack and Aree secretly wed in September 2023, with Jack announcing, “Something really cool happened. I married the most amazing woman I’ve ever met. All in.” Since then, the two have been quietly building their family while navigating a year marked by tremendous personal loss.
With a baby on the way and their home filled with young children, Jack says this moment represents a turning point. The pregnancy, he emphasized, is a reminder that life moves in cycles and that even amid grief, joy finds its way back in.
