Jack White erupts at Trump and Karoline Leavitt as Oval Office makeover spat explodes into all-out feud

WASHINGTON, DC: Jack White just went nuclear on Donald Trump and his inner circle.

The former White Stripes frontman unleashed an 850-word tirade this week, blasting the president as a “low-life fascist” who is “masquerading as a Christian” during a heated back-and-forth with the White House.

The feud began after Jack White mocked Donald Trump’s Oval Office makeover. White House Communications Director Steven Cheung fired back with a scorched-earth statement.

Cheung branded White a “washed-up, has-been loser” who is “masquerading as a real artist” because he mocked the president’s taste. According to Cheung, White simply “fails to appreciate” the “splendor” of Trump’s presidential digs.

White wasn’t about to let that slide. On Instagram, he opened his response by quoting Cheung’s insult and turning it on Trump. “‘Masquerading as a real artist’? Thank you for giving me my tombstone engraving! Well, here’s my opinion, Trump is masquerading as a human," White wrote.

“He’s masquerading as a Christian, as a leader, as a person with actual empathy,” he continued. “He’s been masquerading as a businessman for decades as nothing he’s involved in has prospered except by using other people’s money to find loophole after loophole and grift after grift."

He then tore into both Cheung and Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, calling them “professional liar toadies” and accusing them of “covering up and masking [Trump’s] fascism as patriotism and fomenting hatred and division in this country on a daily basis.”

When The Daily Beast asked Cheung for comment, the Trump spokesman repeated his jab from the day before. “Jack White is a washed-up, has-been loser posting drivel on social media because he clearly has ample time on his hands due to his stalled career," he said.

White brushed off the insults, saying that “being insulted by the actual White House that this particular conman leads is a badge of honor to me.” His post even included a carousel of Trump photos, one featuring Cheung.

White, who campaigned for Bernie Sanders in 2020, didn’t stop there.

He rattled off what he called Trump’s “greatest hits,” citing his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein, attempts to overturn the 2020 election, and “obvious wimpy and pathetic kowtowing to the dictators Putin and Kim Jong Un.”

The rocker labeled Trump an “orange grifter” and a “professional golf cheat,” blasting him for offering “only smoke and mirrors and tax breaks for the ultra wealthy.”

White, 50, stressed that he wasn’t approaching this from a partisan angle. He said he’s “not a Democrat” but simply “a human being raised in Detroit.” He also admitted he doesn’t always speak out politically and doesn’t “always know all of the facts,” but this time he couldn’t remain “silent.”

He even compared Trump’s presidency to Adolf Hitler’s rise in 1930s Germany.

“This man is a danger to not just America but the entire world, and that’s not an exaggeration, he’s dismantling democracy and endangering the planet on a daily basis. I was raised to believe that we defeated fascism in World War II and that we would never allow it again in the world," White insisted.

White also targeted Trump’s supporters, mocking them for celebrating his flashy Oval Office makeover. “Enjoy,” he wrote, referencing “paving over the Rose Garden and the gaudy a** gold spray painted trinkets” that sparked the spat.

But he warned Trump’s base that they were being played. “He ain’t spending any money on helping YOU unless you fit into his white supremascist [sic] country club rich idiot agenda. Wow, he hates who you hate, good for you, be proud of yourselves, how Christian of you all," the musician continued.

White wrapped up his blistering post by quoting Theodore Roosevelt, who argued that treating a president as above criticism is not only unpatriotic but, he reminded his followers, “morally treasonable to the American public.”
