LAS VEGAS, NEVADA: Former Ozzy Osbourne guitarist, Jake E Lee, is recovering after being shot multiple times in Las Vegas on October 15.

The guitarist, known for working with Ozzy Osbourne from 1982 to 1987, shared an update about the incident and his condition on social media.

Lee was shot while walking his dog on Tuesday morning, October 15, in what appears to be a random attack. Despite the severity of the situation, Lee is expected to make a "full recovery."

In a message exchange with former 'Guns N’ Roses' guitarist DJ Ashba, Jake E Lee provided some initial updates on his health.

Ashba posted a screenshot of their conversation on Instagram story where he asked Lee, “Please tell me you’re okay??” Lee responded, “Doing surprisingly well.”

Lee also joked, saying, “I am one lucky mother f****r. Just make sure your bday bash is wheelchair accessible! Just jestin’,” as seen in the exchange posted by Ashba.

Lee later posted a more detailed update himself on Facebook, revealing the extent of his injuries and emphasizing how fortunate he feels to have survived.

“To clarify, I was shot three times. I was on my way back home from walking my dog Coco (I didn’t name him so don’t!) Don’t want to go into details now, I’m tired, but I feel relatively very lucky," Lee wrote.

In his social media post, Jake E Lee explained how dangerous the situation was. He mentioned that the gunman fired an entire clip at him.

"The police found 15 shell casings at the scene which means he emptied his clip on me," Lee said.



 

“I could only dodge so many so one bullet went through my forearm, one through my foot, and one in the back which broke a rib and damaged a lung," he added.

Despite these injuries, Lee is staying positive, saying his focus now is on recovery.

“Priority now is to keep draining my lung till it’s done crying. Then we can pull that tube out and concentrate on the more minor injuries. And by the way, Coco’s fine and appreciates your inquiries!” he concluded.

Ozzy Osbourne reacts to shooting incident involving Jake E Lee

Ozzy Osbourne, who worked with Jake E Lee decades ago, also reacted to the news.

In a statement to TMZ on October 15, Osbourne said, “It’s been 37 years since I’ve seen Jake E. Lee, but that still doesn’t take away from the shock of hearing what happened to him today."

"It’s just another senseless act of gun violence. I send my thoughts to him and his beautiful daughter, Jade. I just hope he’ll be OK,” Osbourne said.

Fans have also taken to social media to express their support for the guitarist after he posted a health update.

One fan wrote on Facebook comments, "Wishing all the best, rest, recover, and rise, man, we need you, the world needs you!"

Another commented, “What a senseless crime! I am so sorry that this happened to you. What a miracle! 3 out of 15 shots and you survived! Thank God! Jake, I have been a big fan since I was 15. The world would have been so much darker if you were gone. So glad that you are still here with us.”

Many shared their admiration for Lee’s resilience, with one fan saying, “Jake, you are one of my guitar heroes and a legend. I’m praying for you and for a speedy recovery. I hope that none of your injuries prevent you from playing the instrument we both love."

Another added, “Thank you so much for the update. You are one tough SOB. So glad you’ll be okay. Please continue to keep us posted as you progress. Coco looks great! Keep rockin Jake!”
