Ozzy Osbourne's former guitarist Jake E Lee shot multiple times while walking his dog in Las Vegas
LAS VEGAS, NEVADA: Jake E Lee, Ozzy Osbourne’s former lead guitarist, was shot “multiple times” during a sudden attack while walking his dog in Las Vegas on Tuesday, October 15.
Lee, 67, was rushed to the hospital and is currently in the intensive care unit after the “street shooting.” The musician’s representative shared in a statement that the guitarist is “fully conscious and doing well,” per Daily Mail.
According to his representatives, Lee is expected to make a full recovery.

The shooting, which has been dubbed as “completely random” by early investigation, took place on Tuesday when Lee took his dog for an early morning walk.
In a statement, Lee’s representative shared, “As confirmed by management, legendary rock guitarist Jake E Lee was shot multiple times early this morning in a Las Vegas, [Nevada] street shooting.”
They added, “Lee is fully conscious and doing well in an intensive care unit at a Las Vegas hospital. He is expected to fully recover,” per The New Zealand Herald.
“Las Vegas authorities believe the shooting was completely random and occurred while Lee took his dog out for a walk in the early morning hours,” read the statement.
The representative further added, “As the incident is under police investigation, no further comments will be forthcoming. Lee and his family appreciate respecting their privacy at this time.”
While the incident is still under police investigation, a second statement shared by the authorities noted that Lee received quick medical attention.
The police statement noted, “On October 15, 2024, at approximately 2.42 am, LVMPD [Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department] officers responded to a shooting incident in the 11000 block of Alora Street. Officers arrived and located a male victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The male was transported to the hospital.”
Lee toured with Ozzy Osbourne for five years from 1982 to 1987, while he was drafted in 1982 to replace the former guitarist Brad Gillis, his five-year stint with Osbourne came to an end in 1987 when he was removed from the roster during a phone call with Sharon Osbourne.
Later, he went on to form Badlands, and subsequently Red Dragon Cartel in 2013.
