WASHINGTON, DC: Following James Comey's suggestion that prosecutors may have sufficient evidence to find Donald Trump guilty in his criminal case involving hush money, the former president aimed at Comey on Friday, May 24, according to The Hill.

Trump wrote on Truth Social, "The Worst FBI Director in History, who I inherited from the Obama Administration, but fired almost immediately into ours, along with many other Corrupt Actors in the DOJ and FBI (The start of DRAIN THE SWAMP!), is going around LYING about the SCAM brought by [George] Soros backed [Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg,] and perpetuated by the Highly Conflicted, Democrat Appointed Judge, Juan Merchan."

He added, "If you want to see the real story on Comey, read the Report by [Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz] that gives you all the Horrors of Comey, in great detail."

He further mentioned, "If Comey had any respect for our System of Justice, which is being DESTROYED before our eyes, he would be fighting against the Crooked [President Biden] inspired Witch Hunts, instead of spreading LIES!"

Notably, Trump's comments follow Comey's admission to NewsNation's Dan Abrams two days earlier that Trump's hush money case was 'much stronger' than he had initially believed.

Comey told Arbam, "I wasn’t sure that I would have [brought the case] when I read the indictment, but now having seen the case, I’m not sure — after investigating it — how they wouldn’t bring it. They had a much stronger case than I imagined."

Moreover, in the same interview, Comey, who was fired from the FBI in 2017, stated that there was a strong likelihood that Trump would be found guilty in the investigation.

He said, "There’s an overwhelming chance of a conviction, a significant but much smaller chance of a hung jury, and zero chance of an acquittal."

Notably, concerning a hush money payment his former lawyer Michael Cohen made to an adult film star in the run-up to the 2016 election in return for her quiet over an alleged affair, which he denies, Trump is accused of 34 counts of falsifying business records.

After 16 days of testimony, the trial is coming to an end. Earlier this week, both parties rested their cases. Closing remarks are scheduled on Tuesday, May 28, after which the jury will decide.
