Jason Kelce reveals what he finds ‘coolest’ about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s romance

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jason Kelce opened up about the bright side of Taylor Swift’s relationship with his younger brother, Travis Kelce, on the November 24 episode of their New Heights podcast. He praised Swift for helping young girls and their dads bond over football and said he loved seeing how her relationship with Travis has grown. This isn’t the first time Jason has shared his admiration; he’s previously become emotional watching their love story unfold.

In the November 24 episode of 'New Heights,' Jason Kelce and Travis Kelce opened the show with sports journalists Erin Andrews and Charissa Thompson. The topic of Taylor Swift came up around the 27-minute mark. Jason said, “You just mentioned Taylor and how much she's gotten girls into the sport and dads and daughters together, which is one of the coolest things I get when people talk about Taylor and Travis, hearing from dads or daughters about that. It's an awesome thing.”

Thompson also highlighted Taylor Swift’s influence on female NFL viewers. “Those little girls who maybe didn't have an interest in football then sit down because it's her,” she said. “Like, the commercials and different videos that you see now all of a sudden the dads have a bond with their daughters over her, which is so special.”

Jason Kelce admires how Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce support each other

Swift’s impact on sports isn’t the only reason Jason Kelce loves her relationship with Travis. In September, he recalled Swift describing his brother as a “human exclamation point” during her record-breaking New Heights appearance the month before.

“The human exclamation point was the best way I've ever heard Travis described in my life,” Jason said. “I think it's such an accurate statement. The dude just brings joy to every place he ever is, and people love him. He makes everything better.”

Jason became emotional as he added, “To watch them support each other, love each other, and reach this stage, and now to have this together… I’m just very happy for him.”

Andrews and Thompson have known the Kelce brothers for years and even helped spark Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s romance. After Travis mentioned on New Heights that he tried to meet Swift at her Kansas City Eras Tour show, the two sportscasters encouraged Swift to give him a chance.

On their Calm Down podcast in August 2023, Andrews said, “Taylor, I don’t know what you are doing in your life right now besides rocking the world. Please try our friend Travis. He is fantastic. Go on a date with this guy. Do it for America.” Thompson added, “There’s no one who would give you a better time than this guy.”
