LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Chrishell Stause’s ex-boyfriend Jason Oppenheim has shown his support for the ‘Selling Sunset’ star following her split from Australian musician G Flip after more than four years together.

Oppenheim responded to Stause’s emotional Instagram video, in which she described feeling like “a little bit of a failure,” with a message of love and reassurance. The former couple, who separated in December 2021, have remained close friends since ending their relationship.

After Stause, 45, shared a heartbreaking video about her breakup on Instagram, Oppenheim, 49, took to the comments section to offer his support. The president of The Oppenheim Group expressed sympathy and reminded her that the end of a relationship did not mean either person had failed.

“I’m really sorry to hear this. I’m thinking of you and sending you my love. You’re both beautiful people, and sometimes things just don’t work out, but it certainly doesn’t mean anyone failed,” Oppenheim wrote. He added that there might be nothing anyone could say to make her feel better immediately and that she might need time to process the separation.

“But please know that you’re very loved and I’m always there for you no matter what,” he continued.

Stause first confirmed she was dating the real estate broker in July 2021. However, they separated in December that year because of their “different wants regarding a family.” Despite the breakup, Oppenheim said they remained best friends and would always love and support one another.

“She was the most amazing girlfriend I’ve ever had, and it was the happiest and most fulfilling relationship of my life,” he said at the time.

Stause began dating G Flip, whose real name is Georgia Flippo and who uses they/them pronouns, in May 2022.

Chrishell Stause opened up about her IVF journey before the split

Before announcing their separation, Stause had spoken about her struggles with the in vitro fertilization (IVF) process as the couple hoped to have a baby together. Last year, she explained that other alternatives were available but that IVF needed to be attempted first because of timing.

“So if it’s meant to be it will be. If not, pivot,” she wrote on Instagram at the time. On Monday, Stause announced the breakup in an emotional social media video, explaining that she and G Flip had agreed to handle their public separation with love and respect for each other.

“That’s not hard for me, because I’m in love with this person,” the Netflix star said. Stause also acknowledged that she did not have all the information or understand all the reasons behind their separation.

Stause, who was previously married to ‘This Is Us’ star Justin Hartley from 2017 to 2021, said she was not planning to go through another public relationship and breakup. “I’m definitely never doing this again,” she declared.

Reflecting on the emotional toll of the separation, Stause admitted that the experience was painful. She described herself as someone who loves deeply and takes significant emotional risks in relationships.

“It’s hard. It’s painful,” she said. “I’m a lover girl. I swing big. I miss. Or maybe you don’t miss.” Stause also reflected on the time she and G Flip had shared, suggesting that their relationship could still be meaningful despite its ending.
