JD Vance’s Dumbledore costume steals the show in Harry Potter-themed family Halloween photo
WASHINGTON, DC: Vice President JD Vance gave his family’s Halloween celebrations a Harry Potter twist on Saturday, October 31, dressing up as Albus Dumbledore.
The official @VP account on X shared a family photo showing Vance in a silver robe, a long gray wig and a beard while holding his newborn son, Alec.
Usha Vance and the couple’s children also joined the theme, turning the porch of their residence into a little Hogwarts scene.
JD even appeared in a short video as the famous wizard, calling himself “Vice President Dumbledore” and wishing everyone a happy Halloween.

The official @VP account shared the family picture with a simple message: “Happy Halloween from the Second Family!” Vance appeared dressed as Albus Dumbledore, the headmaster of Hogwarts in the Harry Potter series, while cradling baby Alec, who was born on July 19.
Usha also joined the magical theme, wearing a brown witch hat and a dark gray outfit resembling that of a Hogwarts professor.

The other children had their own costumes. One appeared dressed as a spider, while four-year-old Mirabel wore a bright green and blue dragon outfit.
The family’s porch added to the theme with pumpkins, autumn flowers and decorative branches. A carved pumpkin featuring glasses and the word “Harry” was also part of the display.

He went on to encourage people to have fun, stay safe and enjoy plenty of candy. One of his young sons appeared alongside him, dressed as Dobby, the house-elf from the Harry Potter series.
Before Halloween, Vance had hinted at his costume choice, explaining that his children were big fans of JK Rowling's books. He also pointed out that his white beard and hair made it easy for him to dress as Dumbledore.
