JD Vance's mother says she'd 'probably punch' Abdul El-Sayed over family jabs: 'That man's an idiot'

WASHINGTON, DC: JD Vance may have kept his feud with Abdul El-Sayed in the political ring, but his mother is taking a very different approach, and she isn't ruling out getting physical.

Beverly Vance Aikins declared that she would “probably punch” the Democratic Michigan Senate candidate if the two ever came face-to-face after his repeated attacks on the Second family.

The Vice President and El-Sayed have been locked in a furious war of words since April, when the candidate first took aim at Vance's wife Usha and their four children.

Aikins made an appearance on Fox News host Tomi Lahren's opinion program 'Tomi Lahren is Fearless' on Wednesday, September 2, where she was asked how she felt about El-Sayed's crude comments.

"I mean, it makes me mad, honestly, because he doesn't know JD, and he doesn't know, you know, what type of person he is, and I do. But, in the long run,” she declared.

I'm not going to do anything about it. … I'd probably punch the guy if I ever saw him, and then that would get me in trouble," Aikins said in jest.

“I think that man's an idiot,” she continued, “Those are my babies.”

Aikins was referring to El-Sayed's comments about Second Lady Usha Vance and her four children with JD Vance.

During an April podcast episode, the candidate said, “Can you imagine, he's got brown kids, at some point he's going to have a really awkward conversation with his kids, like, you made your career hating people who are different.”

El-Sayed most recently attacked Vance after the VP criticized his stated adherence to Sharia law during an Ohio rally, suggesting the practice would be completely foreign to Vance's grandfather, whom he affectionately calls his “Papaw.”

"So, do we think JD is taking Usha with him back in time to meet Papaw, or no," El-Sayed said, seemingly in reference to the second lady's Indian ethnicity.

Aikins's comments came after Vance went full Will Smith mode and asked El-Sayed to shut his yap when it came to his wife, Usha.

“Whatever you want to talk about, Abdul, keep my wife's name the hell outta your mouth, because she's way outta your league!” Vance fumed.

He also branded El-Sayed "very, very evil", escalating an already bitter Senate race that could have a bigger impact for control of the US Senate.

"I realized that there's something about Abdul El-Sayed that is very, very evil and on the rise in the United States of America today," he said.

"And it's people who see themselves not as citizens of a common nation, fighting for every single person, whether they're Jewish or Christian, whether they're white or Black or brown, but see themselves as fighting for one group at the expense of others."

The exchange echoed the infamous 2022 Oscars incident, when Will Smith stormed the stage and slapped Chris Rock after the comedian made a G.I. Jane joke about his wife, actress Jada Pinkett Smith.

El-Sayed immediately fired back at Vance, saying "Evil is ripping healthcare away from working people in exchange for tax breaks for billionaires. Evil is making people pay more for groceries and gas while pushing for trade wars and actual war. Evil is dividing people for your own gain. Evil is selling out your morals for a little bit of power."
