WASHINGTON, DC: The internet is questioning JD Vance's current dynamics with President Donald Trump after the vice president made a post about 'Puppy Bowl'.

Vance, 40, who is no stranger to making headlines owing to his equation with the 78-year-old GOP spearhead, left many wondering if he had lost his importance in Trump’s inner circle and relegated to posting about pet shows.

JD Vance recently caused a stir on social media when he posted on the night of Super Bowl last week, "Puppy bowl just showed a chihuahua-German shepherd mix and, uh, I’ve got questions."

While the post can be categorized as a general postulation, a section of the social media users cast doubts over his importance in Trump’s inner circle given he was posting about "chihuahua-German shepherd mix", per Irish Star.

Ever since Tesla CEO Elon Musk took over the role of the head of DOGE, internet has been awashed with theories regarding Vance’s purportedly diminishing importance in the White House.

A similar theory was voiced by Democrat Harry Sisson, who commented on Vance's post, “So like do you do anything other than sit on social media all day? Or has Trump kicked you out of his inner circle and relegated you to this?”

While the post received more than 5k likes on X, Sisson received flak from a section of the users as well.

Nevertheless, he was not the only one to cast doubt over Vance's equation with Trump as several others too took to the internet to ask similar questions.

JD Vance's post about 'Puppy Bowl' left internet users bewildered

Harry Sisson was, however, not the only user to pose the question, as several other social media users were also left asking as to why the vice president was watching 'Puppy Bowl'.

One of the social media users shared, "Yeah, I got a question. Why are you watching the puppy bowl??? The kids turn it on?"

"The musk administration slid trump into the VP slot and you into the social media manager position, uh, I’ve had questions for 3 weeks," chimed in someone else.

Another user noted, "You working or watching chihuahuas? What have you done for America the past 2 weeks?"

"I don't think the Vice President is allowed to say that," cautioned another social media user.

Someone else noted, "So much for vance it sure looks like trump doesn't like him at all."
