WASHINGTON, DC: Vice President JD Vance and tech billionaire Elon Musk have jointly won the approval of social media users for their common habit of bringing their children to their workplaces, the Irish Star reported on Sunday, February 16.

The two have been lauded weeks after Vance's position as President Donald Trump's second-in-command came under scrutiny following Musk's increasing involvement with the POTUS. The Tesla CEO was heavily invested in Trump's 2024 presidential campaign and was rewarded with his own newly formed federal Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

Since Donald Trump was reinstated in the White House, both JD Vance and Elon Musk have brought their children in front of the public on different occasions.

Vance, 40, married Usha, 39, back in 2014 and shares three children with her. All three of them, namely, Ewan, 7, Vivek, 4, and Mirabel, 3, accompanied the couple at the inauguration ceremony of the VP in Washington last month.

As per the Irish Star, people found it refreshing to see the politician as a parent struggling to control toddlers in public.

On the other hand, Musk brought his four-year-old son X Æ A-Xii to the Oval Office on Wednesday, February 12, at a press meet with the POTUS about the functioning of DOGE.

X was joined by two more of his siblings in accompanying Musk as he met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss technology innovation the following day.

Internet adores Elon Musk and JD Vance for bringing their children to work

Netizens commented on JD Vance and Elon Musk bringing their children to public events saying that it allowed the public figures to appear more normal and helped lighten the mood in official settings.

"Two of the most powerful people - JD Vance and Elon Musk - are normalizing children in public spaces. Children aren’t burdens. They’re the future," wrote a user.

"It’s not gone unnoticed that they both are men being normal dads in the professional space. It’s about time men saw role models being dads AND succeeding at the highest levels. I fully support!!!" shared another.

"Can we talk about the optics here? I LOVE that Elon and Vance are normalizing taking their kids to work and having them present at formal events. Our culture is being reintroduced to the joy of children instead of treating them as annoyances or commodities," expressed a third, sharing a video of X and Musk in the Oval Office.

"Can I just say that I am loving seeing all the men carting their kids around everywhere. I love seeing JD Vance and his family going everywhere with him. I love seeing Elon with little X in tow. I want this to be normal. I want this to always be normal. I want people to get used to seeing this. This is one thing that has been sorely lacking in our society," noted one user.

"Between @JDVance and @elonmusk they are making children being a part of daily life in government a completely normal thing. Thank you God for having these masculine men teach the world you can be smart, important, in government and still be a devout father," posted another.

"@JDVance & @elonmusk are normalizing Fathers being Dads (whether) busy or not. They are normalizing children in public. And I’m here for it," stated yet another.
