WASHINGTON, DC: First Lady Melania Trump announced that the public tours of the White House will resume on February 25, as reported by Fox News.
The tours were discontinued over the last few weeks to facilitate the smooth transition of President Donald Trump into the Oval Office for his second term.

Melania Trump announces reopening of White House public tours
Taking to the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) from the official account of FLOTUS on Wednesday, February 12, Melania Trump shared the press release announcing the reopening of the White House tour.
"The President and I are excited to reopen the White House to those interested in the extraordinary story of this iconic and beautiful landmark. There is much to learn about the American Presidency, the First Families who have lived here, and our Nation’s rich history from a firsthand experience at the White House," she wrote in the caption.

"This opportunity is unique among nations around the globe—a tradition we are honored to continue for the hundreds of thousands of visitors who come each year," she added.
As per the release, requests for tours are to be made through the members of Congress up to three months in advance. They are scheduled on a first-come-first-serve basis and typically last 45 minutes.
The tours will generally be available from 7.30 am to 11.30 am, Tuesday through Thursday, and 7.30 am to 1.30 pm, Friday and Saturday. The schedule excludes federal holidays and other special occasions.

This announcement follows a period of relative public silence from the first lady, who was last seen in public on January 24, when she accompanied her husband to disaster sites in North Carolina and California.
