NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Kaitlan Collins described her experience covering Donald Trump's second term in the White House during her appearance on the Thursday, February 6 episode of 'Late Night With Seth Meyers'.

The CNN anchor returned to the White House beat after Trump was sworn in on January 20, and now works as the network's Chief White House Correspondent, in addition to performing her duties as a host on 'The Source with Kaitlan Collins', according to Mediaite.

Kaitlan Collins' take on covering Donald Trump's second term

On Thursday's show, host Seth Meyers inquired about Kaitlan Collin's work in Washington, DC, and how she felt covering the new Trump administration.

"The pace of the Trump administration seems to be moving pretty quickly. How are you holding up?" he asked, to which Collins replied, "It is insane! And I think everyone is kind of like readjusting and re-remembering what it was like four years ago. Pre-four years ago."

"I remember when Biden first took office in January, The New York Times wrote the story about how quiet the weekends were because, for reporters, every weekend had just been like another — it was like a seven-day workweek," she elaborated, illustrating the contrasting times.

"And now we’re back to that basically where it’s just essentially nonstop. Every day you kind of wake up like not knowing what you’re going to be doing, what the schedule is," the 32-year-old noted.

"I was walking to breakfast one day this week. I was like, okay, we have a nice little breakfast. I go to work and halfway there they’re like, Trump’s doing a press conference in an hour, and I physically ran back home so I could change and get ready," Collins shared.

Internet trolls Kaitlan Collins after she shares her experience of covering Donald Trump's second term

Netizens, especially MAGA supporters, were quick to mock Kaitlan Collins after she shared her thoughts on covering Donald Trump's second White House term.

One wrote, "Kaitlan Collins is on Seth Meyers right now and of course all they’re talking about is Trump. RENT-FREE," and another claimed, "You would think that @kaitlancollins would know how to cover @potus after being there for his first term. @CNN ignored most of @JoeBiden's scandals."

"It’s only a shock to corrupt politicians that never thought this day will come!" a person declared, while someone else added, "LMAO! Chaos? It's the democrat party that's in chaos. Those people never learn."

"Shock, meaning someone who actually works instead of sleeping?" another person quipped.

A disgruntled individual wrote, "What is insane is that @kaitlancollins is still employed by @cnn as a journalist. She can still be employed by cnn as a Democrat analyst, but not as an objective reporter, if CNN ever wants to start regaining trust."
