LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jim Curtis is describing his relationship with Jennifer Aniston as a source of “real joy,” saying their connection has developed into a genuine partnership after beginning with a friendship that lasted several months.

The hypnotherapist, life coach and wellness author discussed the relationship in an interview with The Times published on Saturday, September 12.

Jim Curtis opens up about Jennifer Aniston romance

Curtis said his relationship with Aniston has felt more organic than his past experiences with love. Reflecting on their connection, he explained that the friendship they shared before dating helped create a healthier foundation.

“There was a many-month friendship first. The drive was more natural, more organic, less needy. In the past I’ve felt this idea of, ‘I need you to be in love with me …’ I wasn’t searching for love any more. And what do I feel now? I feel real joy, real presence, real calmness, real partnership,” he said.

PEOPLE confirmed in July 2025 that Curtis and Aniston were “casually dating.” Since then, the pair have been seen together during several public outings and have also appeared in social media posts.

In November 2025, she referred to Curtis as “my life” while sharing an Instagram photo of them cuddled up together.

The couple most recently made a joint public appearance on September 2 in New York City while celebrating the release of his new book, 'The Book of Possibility.'

Curtis also revealed that he and Aniston share an interest in meditation, which has become part of their relationship.

“We take real responsibility to go within and understand and soothe ourselves. So we meditate together. I meditate and I’ll say things like ‘I’m divinely guided’, meaning I don’t have to worry, it’s all working out,” he said.

Jim Curtis adjusts to Jennifer Aniston spotlight

Curtis has also spoken about how dating Aniston has changed the level of public attention surrounding his personal life. Earlier this month, he discussed adjusting to the spotlight during an appearance on 'The Jamie Kern Lima Show.'

He said that seeing his name appear in headlines “was new,” despite having been publicly visible for years.

“And, you know, just to be quite honest, that was something to get used to. I’ve been pretty public for a long time, but never this level,” Curtis explained.

The transformational coach said the attention was unfamiliar because people had not previously shown much interest in whom he dated. “No one’s really cared who I’ve dated in the past, so that was an adjustment for me, but it was a real learning experience, too,” he said.

Curtis explained that the experience became part of his personal growth as he encountered tabloid descriptions and headlines he felt were inaccurate or unflattering.

He said, “It was a part of my growth because, you know, I would get categorized as something in a tabloid, or it’d be a fake headline, or it would be something that was not flattering or made up — and I immediately would be like, They could’ve just gone to my LinkedIn page and [seen] all my achievements, all my wonderful things.”
