NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Fox News host Jesse Watters asserted on the Friday, August 2 episode of 'The Five' that Vice President and Democratic nominee Kamala Harris is not suited to be the President of the United States, describing her as "an average woman" and a "girl's girl."

The misogynistic remarks sparked a wave of criticism for the anchor on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter). Users stated that the comments not only portrayed Watters as a "male chauvinist" but also damaged the prospects of Republicans in the upcoming election.

He added, "She's just an average, kind of mediocre person who avoids fixing things because she doesn't want any attention that's negative. She doesn't try that hard, and then when she does not try, she gets in trouble for not trying and then she yells at everybody else."

"She likes wine, she likes food, she likes to dance," Watters continued on his increasingly controversial explanation. "She's like your typical girl's girl that talks behind everybody's back and then says nice things to your face."

"She's just not at the level of what you would think would be a president. She is just too mediocre to be president," he added.

Internet calls out Jesse Watters' 'misogynistic' comments

Netizens were furious with the criticisms provided by Watters in his argument against Kamala Harris being elected POTUS. He was labeled as a misogynist and a "male chauvinist," as the following tweets demonstrate.

"Nobody is surprised in the least that Jesse Watters is a male chauvinist," wrote a user.

"In other words. Misogynistic white man is afraid of a well educated black woman becoming president?" sarcastically inquired another.

"Stuff like this is a great way for republicans to alienate women from their party. keep it up guys!" quipped a user.

"Imagine these are now negatives—she likes food, wine, to dance and laugh," jibed another user.

"He is literally attacking her for her gender. Wow," commented one user.

"Says a mediocre white man about an accomplished black woman. Let them keep talking," noted another.

"Well Jesse Watters would know mediocre. But like all mediocre people, he can't recognize brilliance," slammed another.

"So their strategy for this election, is to find every possible way to insult women. Mmmmm what could go wrong?" mocked yet another.
