NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: On the June 25 segment of Fox News' 'Jesse Watters Primetime', host Jesse Watters provided former President Donald Trump with strategic advice for the upcoming CNN presidential debate, highlighting the aggressive tactics he expects from President Joe Biden and offered suggestions on how to effectively counter them.

Reportedly, the two 2024 US presidential debates will feature the candidates and their major strategies and demands with CNN and ABC hosting them on June 27 and September 10, respectively.



 

Watters urges Trump to stay calm and pivot to American issues ahead of debate

Watters began by outlining Biden's anticipated strategy, emphasizing the incumbent president's intent to provoke Trump.

"Biden's goal Thursday is to make Trump snap. He'll be fighting dirty. Every shot will be below the belt. 'You're a twice impeached, bigoted, bankrupted, convicted felon,'" Watters said, predicting the nature of Biden's attacks.

Recognizing the potential impact of these provocations, Watters advised Trump to maintain his composure during the debate, saying, "Trump is muted when Biden is trashing him, so he needs to compose himself. Say 'Namaste.' When Biden's time is up, react calmly. Don't take the bait because Biden is going to make the debate all about Trump because Joe doesn't have a record to run on."

The host emphasized the importance of not getting drawn into reactive exchanges.

Instead, Watters urged Trump to shift the focus of the debate towards the concerns of the American people, proposing that Trump should address issues directly impacting voters and draw clear contrasts between himself and Biden.

"Trump needs to make the debate all about the American people. 'Joe is trying to lock me up instead of the illegals raping and murdering our women and children. I never went bankrupt. Bidenomics is bankrupting our country,'" Watters advised, suggesting a strategy that highlights perceived failures of the current administration.

As per AP News, ahead of the live television debate scheduled for June 27, the 81-year-old Biden's team recognizes the critical importance of his performance.

They anticipate aggressive attacks from his Republican rival, focusing on Biden's physical and mental fitness, his economic and immigration policies, and even his family.

The 78-year-old Trump plans to continue campaigning before engaging in a brief period of private meetings at his Florida estate as part of his informal preparation process.

Watters's counsel to Trump stirs diverse reactions

Social media buzzed with mixed reactions to Jesse Watters's guidance to former President Trump ahead of the CNN presidential debate.

A particular viewer expressed, "CNN’s last stand to get some ratings."

Following suit, another observer added, "This is my biggest concern. President Trump is so undisciplined that he might say anything."

Additionally, a viewer pointed out, "Once the Republicans greatest weakness steps on that stage the landmine will be stepped on there will be no saving Putin’s Puppet from his garbled verbiage. A follower contributed on YouTube, "Jesse, you are missing the point. There is only one question President Trump needs to ask during the debate.
