WASHINGTON, DC: Jesse Watters went on a tirade against President Joe Biden on his show, saying that the incumbent has broken people's trust as he has failed to "shut down the border" despite claiming he would if more than 2,500 illegal immigrants crossed over, as reported by Fox News.

In the same segment, he hailed Donald Trump for raising millions in various fundraisers.

Jesse Watters claims Democrats are walking away from President Joe Biden

Watters attacked the POTUS saying, "Remember Biden's executive order to shut down the border if border crossings had over 2,500 a day? Well, border crossings have been over 2,500 a day every day since Biden signed the order. And he hasn't shut it down."

He added, "The day after he signed the order, there were 4,000 border crossings. The next day they were 10,000," before noting, "Why would Democrats support a man like that? They don't."

The Fox News host was talking about new executive actions announced by Biden which aim to prohibit those who cross the southern border illegally from seeking asylum.

Taking jabs at Biden's advancing age and health issues, Watters mentioned, "From Compton to Silicon Valley. Democrats are walking away from the guy who can barely walk," as he moved on to speak highly about Trump.

Jesse Watters brags about Donald Trump raising $12 million in a fundraiser organized by Silicon Valley techies

Subsequently, Watters shared, "Trump hauled in $30 million from his California swing. $12 million came straight out of Nancy Pelosi's backyard. Tech billionaires say they were impressed by how eloquent and articulate Trump was and opened up their checkbooks," referring to the fundraiser organized by venture capitalists David Sacks and Chamath Palihapitiya in San Francisco's Pacific Heights neighborhood

The Fox News host further claimed, "One of the billionaires who hosted the fundraiser for Trump was a lifelong Democrat who says he's been forced into political homelessness."

Former President Donald Trump listens as his attorney Todd Blanche speaks during a press conference at 40 Wall Street after a pre-trial hearing on March 25, 2024 in New York City. Judge Juan Merchan scheduled Trump's criminal trial to begin on April 15, which would make it the first criminal prosecution of a former American president. Trump was charged with 34 counts of falsifying business records last year, which prosecutors say was an effort to hide a potential sex scandal, both before and after the 2016 election. Netizens answer why they choose to support Joe Biden over Donald Trump

One netizen shared, "I voted third party for 30 years till Republicans elected Trump and forced me to vote Democrat. There’s lots of us. That’s why he lost in 2020 and will again in 2024."

Another added, "Because Biden is better than the alternative."

"Trump's administration had control of the House and Senate, why didn't Trump put a bill in place that addressed the border issue? The answer is that Trump and the Republican party are not trying to solve the border issues. They use the border to frighten his supporters and to get them worked up," explained a person.

One more asserted, "Even dead, Biden would be 100 times better as President.  To vote for Trump, you'd have to be so morally twisted, it would be impossible to make your way back to sanity."

"How can Republicans support someone like Trump in any manner? Supporting Biden is at least rational, supporting Trump is anything but," noted someone else.

Another person said, "Because Biden didn't attempt a coup because he lost," while an individual wrote, "Not wanting to be a dictator is a good enough reason for me."
