LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jimmy Kimmel concurred with Donald Trump’s extravagant assertion that not even Mother Teresa could withstand the accusations leveled against the former president – namely, paying off a pornstar "after a round of golf."

In the latest installment of 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!,' aired shortly after the pivotal criminal hush money trial was handed over to the jury, the late-night host delved into the dramatic final moments of the trial, touching on the notable absence of former First Lady Melania Trump and the cameo appearance of Hollywood luminary Robert De Niro.

Jury deliberations underway amid Trump's claims of rigged trial

The jury commenced deliberations late on Wednesday morning, fielding four inquiries from jurors regarding specific testimonies, with proceedings set to resume on Thursday at 9:30 am.

Shortly after deliberations began, the former president decried the entire trial as "rigged," insinuating that not even Mother Teresa could evade a conviction.

"These charges are rigged. The whole thing is rigged," Trump exclaimed to reporters outside the courtroom on Wednesday. "And we have a trial like this where the judge is so conflicted he can’t breathe. He’s got to do his job. It’s a disgrace. Mother Teresa could not beat those charges. But we’ll see. We’ll see how we do. It’s a very disgraceful situation."

Kimmel mocks Trump and family amid trial Drama

During his opening monologue, Kimmel chuckled as he dissected the analogy drawn by the former president.

"Yeah, even if Mother Teresa herself had sex with and paid off a porn star after a round of golf, even she would have been getting away with it," he quipped. "Mother Teresa has been dead for 27 years... thanks to the corrupt New York Attorney General!"

Shifting focus to the Trump family's involvement, Kimmel jestingly remarked that Melania Trump had been conspicuously absent from the trial, suggesting it might be challenging for her to maintain composure.

The comedian also took a swipe at Donald Trump Jr, who delivered a defiant speech outside the courtroom on Wednesday, criticizing De Niro's presence and implying he was seeking attention due to his lack of recent notable films.

Kimmel fired back, saying "First of all, Robert De Niro was nominated for an Oscar two months ago. And secondly, your father also had one actor at the trial and that actor was Joe Piscopo. Even Joe Piscopo would tell you you lost that one."
