MANAHATTAN, NEW YIRK CITY: During his appearance on the night of February 26 'Late Night with Seth Meyers, President Biden faced questions about his age, which he tackled head-on with a witty retort that also took a swipe at Donald Trump's age.

Meyers welcomed Biden to mark the show's 10th anniversary, reminiscing about Biden's early appearance alongside Amy Poehler in 2014.

President Biden addresses age concerns and policy stances on Late Night

Amidst the banter and jokes between Meyers, Poehler, and Biden, the host didn't shy away from addressing concerns shared by him and other voters about the president's age.

One of the concerns addressed by Meyers was Biden's age, to which the president responded with a two-part answer.

"Number one", Biden remarked, "you gotta take a look at the other guy. He’s about as old as I am, but he can’t even remember his wife’s name", eliciting a hearty laugh from the audience.

To add context, Trump seemingly forgot his wife Melania's name while speaking at CPAC over the weekend. When he did mention her, he seemed to mistakenly refer to her as "Mercedes".

Speaking more earnestly on the topic of age, President Biden contended that the true concern lies in "how old your ideas are".

"Look," he emphasized, " I mean, this is a guy who wants to take us back. He wants to take us back on Roe v. Wade, he wants to take us back on a whole range of issues that are — 50, 60 years, they’ve been solid American positions. And I really mean this sincerely, I think it’s about the future".

He continued, “Every single thing we’ve done — I think we’ve gotten some good things done. And they told us we couldn’t get them done, ’cause things were so divided. But I think everything we’ve gotten done, he’s just frontally stated he wants to do away with if he gets elected".
