WASHINGTON, DC: Joe Biden, the President of the United States, has been dominating headlines, but this time it's not for his political actions. The spotlight has shifted to his pet dog, Commander, who reportedly bit multiple Secret Service members at the White House in at least 24 different incidents.

This incident sparked criticism online, with many calling Biden a "terrible owner."

President Biden faced additional criticism recently when he stumbled twice while boarding Air Force One, despite choosing a shorter, easier stairway. The 81-year-old managed to avoid a more severe fall as he was getting ready to leave for Los Angeles.

Video footage of the incident at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland shows Biden stumbling slightly on a stair about halfway up.

In another development, podcaster Joe Rogan suggested on his podcast recently that Biden might be replaced as the Democratic candidate in the 2024 presidential elections by California Governor Gavin Newsom.

According to Fox News, Biden's pet dog, Commander, allegedly bit and attacked multiple US Secret Service personnel in at least 24 incidents between October 2022 and July 2023, leading to his eventual removal from the White House premises.

Newly disclosed internal Secret Service documents, made public by The Black Vault and obtained by Fox News, detail these incidents where the German shepherd either bit or attempted to bite Secret Service staff members or others.

In the first documented incident, a Secret Service member recounted holding a door open to the Palm Room on the West Colonnade side as Biden took Commander out to the South Grounds.

As outlined by Fox News, the report detailed the initial incident involving Commander as follows: "Commander and POTUS were entering the Palm Room via the West Colonnade. Commander came in first, circled back and grabbed my left arm. He then stood up and back down. He is literally my height, standing."

Fortunately, the agent's arm was not punctured, and Biden entered shortly after the incident.

Incidents involving Commander continued to occur across various locations, including the White House, Wilmington, Delaware, Camp David, and Biden’s beach house in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, as reported by Fox News.

On December 23, 2022, while returning from the tennis pavilion, Commander attacked a staff member on the left forearm. Luckily, the individual was wearing multiple layers of clothing, and the dog did not leave any visible marks.

Then, on June 11, 2023, during a movement from the Cabana to the Oval Dining Room, Commander bit an agent on the chest, tearing the agent’s shirt and causing two small lacerations.

The situation escalated further when, on June 15, 2023, another agent was attacked on the left arm, requiring stitches. This incident prompted a temporary halt in tours of the East Wing to clean up blood from the floor.

An email from the Secret Service on June 29, 2023, obtained by Fox News, outlined, "The recent dog bites have challenged us to adjust our operational tactics when Commander is present — please give lots of room (staying a terrain feature away if possible). We will continue to keep [redaction] in our sight but must be creative to ensure our own personal safety."

By July 29, 2023, Commander attacked an agent at the Biden’s beach house in Rehoboth Beach, resulting in a severe deep open wound and significant blood loss.

The agent received medical treatment, including six stitches and antibiotics, as per the report obtained by Fox News. Commander was subsequently removed from the White House campus by September 2023.

Anthony Guglielmi, chief of communications for the Secret Service, underscored to Fox News, "The US Secret Service takes the safety and well-being of our employees extremely seriously and has been navigating how best to operate in an environment that includes family pets for many Presidential administrations."

He added, "The incidents involving Commander were treated as workplace injuries, with events documented in accordance with Secret Service and US Department of Homeland Security guidelines."

Guglielmi further stated, "While Secret Service personnel neither handle nor care for the first family’s pets, we work continuously with all applicable entities in order to minimize any adverse impacts from family pets."

As reported by Fox News, Elizabeth Alexander, a spokesperson for the first lady, recognized the Bidens' endeavors to manage Commander's conduct, even though these attempts ultimately fell short.

She remarked, "Despite additional dog training, leashing, working with veterinarians, and consulting with animal behaviorists, the White House environment simply proved too much for Commander. Since the fall, he has lived with other family members."

Following the departure of the Bidens' previous dog, Major, also a German shepherd, who displayed similar aggressive behavior, including biting Secret Service and White House staff, Commander's tenure at the White House ensued.

Eventually, Major was relocated to live with friends in Delaware, reported Fox News.
