WASHINGTON, DC: President Joe Biden informed Democratic governors on Wednesday, July 3, evening that he underwent a medical checkup after the previous week's challenging debate, affirming his good health, as reported.

However, the brief visit to the doctor was merely to evaluate a persistent cold and did not encompass any significant tests, according to a source cited by Politico.

The health update from the 81-year-old president came in response to a query about his well-being from one of the governors during the quickly arranged meeting, as reported by three individuals familiar with the discussion.

Biden spoke in a hoarse voice during the debate and blamed his lackluster performance on cold and jet lag.

Amid rising concerns within the Democratic Party about the president's age, cognitive fitness, and capacity to serve another four-year term, a discussion was convened.

President Biden, knocking on wood for emphasis, stated he had undergone a health checkup just days prior and was in good health, according to two of the three individuals granted anonymity to speak candidly to the press.

However, a source acquainted with the president's daily routine informed Politico that Biden's reference to a checkup alluded to a brief encounter with a White House doctor for a persistent cold, without any significant tests being conducted.

Earlier that day, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre declined to directly address inquiries from reporters about whether the president had received a professional health evaluation after the debate, as reported by the media.

“The president has regular annual physicals that we release in a thorough report,” she said. “We’re going to continue to do that.”

Governors, including potential Biden successors, publicly support him

Numerous governors, among them those viewed as top contenders to succeed Biden if he withdraws from the race, have publicly expressed their support for Biden after the meeting.

A common refrain in their comments was that Biden "is in it to win it."

Shortly after the conclusion of the meeting, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer, a potential Democratic replacement candidate, expressed her support for the president by echoing the meeting's slogan on Twitter: “@JoeBiden is our nominee. He is in it to win it and I support him.”

Only three governors who were present at the meeting remained to address the reporters.

"All" of the state governors present, according to New York Governor Kathy Hochul, "pledged our support to him because the stakes could not be higher."

Politico claims that however, in private, at least two employees appeared to be growing tired of Biden's future.

“They got through today, but it’s still very unclear where this goes,” an employee who was present at the meeting directly told the outlet.

Joe Biden's health update leads to mockery

As soon as the news went viral on social media, users started reacting to it. A user mocked Biden, questioning, "Yeah, how much B12 shots did they boost him up with?"

Another user added, "Sure he did. "Dr" Jill looked him over and said, "YOU'RE FINE, JOE!" Allegedly."

A third commentator wrote  a similar comment, "So he saw Dr Jill. Ok then."

"And they found the same thing we already knew. HE IS NOT FIT TO LEAD THIS NATION!!!" One remarked.

A person slammed, "Sure. Biden lies about everything and anything."
