WASHINGTON, DC: Just a few days after his son Hunter Biden was found guilty of felonies related to guns, President Joe Biden launched a brand-new 30-second commercial promoting gun regulation, the New York Post reported.

In addition to accusing former president Donald Trump of being in the National Rifle Association's (NRA) pocket, Biden swiftly released the 30-second ad after the Supreme Court ruled on Friday, June 14, to rescind the federal prohibition on bump stocks.

In the ad, President Joe Biden said, "When Trump was president— children gunned down in classrooms, innocent people killed in church and massacred at a concert. Still, Trump did nothing. He sided with the NRA, but I sided with you. I’ve expanded background checks, created an office of gun violence prevention, and now murder rates are down."

Biden concluded fingers pointing into the camera, "You and your family deserve to be safe and I’m going to fight like hell to see to it that you are."

Notably, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) was found to have overreached its jurisdiction when it classified bump stocks as unlawful machine guns, the court said in a 6-3 decision.

Following a Las Vegas shooting in 2017 that claimed 60 lives and wounded hundreds more, Trump outlawed the device that year. Shooter Stephen Paddock had converted his rifle into a de facto automatic gun by adding a bump stock.

Biden said in response to the ruling, "Congress must ban bump stocks, pass an assault weapon ban, and take additional action to save lives. Send a bill to my desk. I will sign it immediately."

The President's display of handgun ownership comes a few days after a federal jury in Delaware found his son Hunter guilty of three felonies related to the acquisition of a revolver in 2018, a crime for which he may get a 25-year prison sentence.

Joe Biden slammed as he launches new ad touting support for gun control

Several internet users slammed Joe Biden as the President launched a brand-new 30-second commercial promoting his support for gun regulation.

A user asked on X, "His own son commits crimes with guns and he wants to lecture anyone else about our rights?" while one added, "If Hunter Biden ignored the gun laws, why is anyone else going to pay attention to them."

One person stated, "He’s so far gone he doesn’t even know why they’re sending him out there anymore," whereas another mentioned, "Biden’s threat against American gun owners with military force is meaningless after the commie-left has pretty much purged real American warriors out of the military."

One individual wrote, "If Democrats were serious about gun control, they wouldn't allow progressive DA's from dropping or downgrading 70+% of all Gun charges in their districts!!!"
