Joe Biden gets chastised after reports claim he watched his dogs attack Secret Service agents
WASHINGTON, DC: The recently disclosed documents indicate that President Joe Biden witnessed instances where his dogs reportedly attacked members of the Secret Service.
These incidents purportedly involved as many as 12 attacks by Commander, who was subsequently removed from the White House in February, and Major, the former First Dog, who was rehomed with acquaintances of the Biden family in 2021, per The Mirror.
According to the records, the POTUS' German Shepherds repeatedly bit Secret Service agents, resulting in damage to their uniforms.
What else did the documents reveal regarding dog attacks under Biden’s tenure?
The documents claim that President Joe Biden saw as his German Shepherd, Commander, reportedly attacked Secret Service agents who were wishing each other a "safe shift" before commencing work at the White House.
The documents also include previously unreported incidents and staff requests for the canines to be muzzled.
The September 12, 2023 incident led to the Commander biting two holes into a Secret Service agent's coat during a walk in the Kennedy Garden on the South Lawn of the White House.
A special agent from the Presidential Protective Division recounted the event, mentioning that President Biden "took Commander (on a leash) to the Kennedy Garden this evening for a walk."
The agent reported, "I was half way from the Book-Sellers [foyer] and the Family Theater while [Biden] and Commander were in the Kennedy Garden," referring to the location where the East Wing and main White House meet.
The victim stated that as President Biden opened the door for the bookseller, Commander bit his left arm through the front of his jacket and fled between his legs as he tried to walk up to him to see if he needed treatment.
"I cried ‘no’ and withdrew my arm," the special agent wrote. "POTUS also yelled [redacted] to Commander. POTUS then [redacted]. I obliged and Commander let me pet him."

The report indicates that Commander bit the agent twice on his left arm as he turned to close the door.
President Biden shouted at Commander one more time before handing him the leash.
There were three apparent holes in the special agent’s suit coat, one of which went fully through. However, fortunately, there were no broken skin injuries.
The special agent sought compensation for damage to his dress shirt and suit, as depicted in images provided in the report.

The most recent set of internal agency documents indicates growing dissatisfaction with how President Biden’s dogs are maintained, leading to requests for better management of the animals within the White House.
Following the incident on September 25, 2023, in which the First Dog Commander attacked once again, a sergeant in the Secret Service's uniformed division communicated to a colleague, "FYI, the Officer may need to go to the hospital due to a dog bite. Enjoy a secure shift!"
It remains unclear whether President Biden was present during the second incident.

A subsequent plea to address the issue of the unrestrained dog was made by an official from the agency's Safety, Health, and Environmental Division just two days later, writing, "Can we please find a way to get this dog muzzled?"
It has come to light that there were two previous incidents, and President Joe Biden was reportedly present during both.
On October 2, 2022, as President Biden approached the foyer near the Rose Garden linking the West Wing to the rest of the White House, the dog reportedly lunged at an agent who was holding the door open for him.
Internet reacts to Joe Biden's dog attack on Secret Service agents
People online weighed in as recently released records show that the First Dog Commander attacked Secret Service members at least three times in front of the President.
One person commented, "There is no such thing as a bad pet...just bad pet owners."
Another person asked, "If the man cannot control his dog, how can he control a country?"
Another person wrote, "He shouldn’t be in charge of a hamster. Let alone a German shepherd."
One person remarked, "If you think the Bidens are not above the law, ask yourself how many people your dog gets to bite before it gets put to sleep."
Another person said, "A responsible, decent person would have taken measures after the first incident."
Finally, this person claimed, "Showing no concern of these dog bite incidents, some of which he witnessed, tells you right there what kind of person he really is. With all his money, those dogs could have been properly trained."
