NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: 'The View' co-host Joy Behar has claimed that Hillary Clinton "would have won" the White House in 2016 had she appeared more on the ABC talk show.

The comedian made the remark during a panel discussion with her fellow co-hosts Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines, Alyssa Farah Griffin, and Ana Navarro on Tuesday, October 8, evening at New York Center, reported Fox News.

Clinton was the Democratic nominee against former President Donald Trump in the 2016 election cycle. While she did win the popular vote, the GOP nominee won the Electoral College, and thus, the election.

Joy Behar's comments on Hillary Clinton's chances in 2016

Joy Behar brought up the topic of the former first lady's appearances while discussing the show and argued, "Hillary Clinton should have come on ‘The View’ more. She would have won."

"We all know Hillary Clinton as the really fun grandma and a person who can take a joke and the people in this country were not seeing that," explained the 82-year-old. "They would have seen that if she came on the show more."

She later joked that Clinton is now considered to be a "guest host" because of how frequently she has been on the show since the election.

Behar further added that she had similarly advised vice president and 2024 Democratic nominee Kamala Harris, stating, "That’s why she came on. That’s why she was there. I think she listened."

Internet slams 'The View' co-host Joy Behar's 'arrogance'

Netizens reacting to the news on socila media platforms called out Joy Behar for her take, claiming that she had an 'overinflated sense of self-worth.'

On Facebook, a user slammed her saying, "Wow the arrogance and narcissism never ceases to amaze me."

"They both need to just fade away into the sunset. Both are legends in their own minds," said another.

"Yes because we all take our political stance from a bunch of old women who hate on everything," jibed a third.

A fourth commented, "'The View' is so stupid. Just a bunch of misinformed liberal women arguing about how they feel when none of their feelings matter about the real world and the actual problems that are harming our country."

A person posted on X (formerly Twitter), "Nothing like an overinflated sense of self-worth. The view is not going to convince one independent to vote their way. It's pandering to a base."

"Lol, everyone should have a fantasy," quipped another.

"She is stuck in some kind of a 2016 Groundhog Day loop. Move on, already. You lost," chided a third.

"Spoken like a true narcissist," jibed a fourth.
