NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Sunny Hostin and her co-hosts of the ABC talk show 'The View' were brutally slammed for their fawning interview of President Joe Biden on Wednesday, September 25, reported the Daily Mail

Sunny Hostin and her 'The View' co-hosts were brutally slammed for fawning over President Joe Biden during their interview with him on the ABC show on Wednesday, September 25, the Daily Mail reported.

Conservatives on X (formerly Twitter) became enraged after Hostin sang high praises of the President's legacy, drawing a parallel with one of the founding fathers of the country, the first US president George Washington.

"I truly believe that [Biden's] legacy will be etched in the history books as Washington, as someone who put their ego aside [and] put his country first," she stated. "That is definitely his legacy."

Joe Biden becomes first sitting POTUS to appear live on 'The View'

President Joe Biden was in New York this week to deliver his fourth and final address to the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) on Tuesday. As such, he made a live appearance on the ABC show that was filmed in the city the following day, a first for a sitting President of the United States.

According to The New York Times, the first sitting POTUS to ever appear on the show was Barack Obama through a recorded interview, back in 2010, which wasn't live.

Sitting alongside Hostin and her co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Sara Haines, Ana Navarro, Joy Behar, and Alyssa Farah Griffin, Biden carried a breezy conversation that covered both personal and political topics.

Stating that he was "at peace" with suspending his relection campaign, Biden made an enthusiastic pitch for his Vice President and Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris.

"[Harris] has the energy, she has the intelligence, she has the grit. She has the stamina and she has the guts to do the right thing," he said.

Biden also took his predecessor and GOP nominee Donald Trump to the cleaners, claiming that he does not have "a lot of redeeming value” and labeling him as a "loser."

Conservatives troll Sunny Hostin and 'The View' hosts for gushing over Joe Biden

Netizens, especially conservatives, reacted to Sunny Hostin and her co-hosts' fondness of Joe Biden, and slammed them for being "delusional."

One social media user tore into Hostin after she compared Biden to George Washington. They stated, "Sub-40% approval rating Joe Biden is George Washington. That's how deranged these people are."

"Are they delusional or are they paid actors with low IQs?" inquired a user.

"They aren’t serious people. I think of these people as a product like a billboard," shared another.

"They live in a bubble," quipped a third.

"This is what ideologically captured looks like," noted a fourth.

"OMG, who the hell believes these people? What an embarrassment," expressed a fifth user.

"The dumbest people in television under one roof," jibed a sixth.
