Joy Reid mocked for wanting Jasmine Crockett to be made Democratic party leader: 'Room temperature IQ'

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Political commentator and former MSNBC host Joy Reid stirred controversy this week after publicly calling for Rep Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) to lead the Democratic Party, prompting intense reactions across social media and political circles.
Speaking candidly on 'The Breakfast Club' radio show, Reid reflected on her recent dismissal from MSNBC and voiced her deep frustration with the Democratic establishment.
She suggested that the party lacks strong, decisive leadership and floated Crockett as a possible future figurehead.

Joy Reid says Jasmine Crockett should take charge of Democratic party
“I’ve been a Democrat since I was old enough to vote, but I’m barely hanging on, honestly,” Reid admitted. “I’m not willing to cede the country to Trumpism and MAGA simply because I’m clinging to this party.”
“I’m like at this point, who cares what the party label is, give me an effective fighter,” she said.

The conversation quickly shifted to who Reid believes embodies the kind of leadership Democrats need.
“If Jasmine Crockett is the most effective fighter, give me Jasmine Crockett… just give me her, because we need a leader,” Reid declared.

Crockett, a first-term representative from Texas, gained national attention for her vocal opposition to conservative policies and her fiery exchanges on Capitol Hill.
